Mary B. Morrison is back with a new series featuring the Crystal family. Blake Crystal has four daughters who are as different as crayons. Baby, You're the Best focuses on Blake and her daughter Alexis. Blake is a loving mother and kind woman, who has her own demons to deal with. Alexis is a hand full! With a daughter like Alexis, who needs friends or enemies? Pop some popcorn, pour a glass of wine, and get ready for pure entertainment! I cannot wait until the next book in the Crystal series.

With the skills of a seasoned Writer, Mary B. Morrison takes the reader into the world full of Adult situations stemming from Childhood experiences. Morrison gives us a no-holds-barred, front row seat into the minds and hearts of individuals dealing with childhood sexual abuse; family dysfunction; the father/daughter relationship dynamics; and the long-reaching impact of each of these.

Placing the reader in Adult situations using Adult language, Morrison challenges us to explore and embrace our individual sexuality and the power that lies within it. Also, she forces us to acknowledge and address our Mental Health as we accept the correlation between our healthy sexuality and our healthy minds.

I recommend this book to Adult readers. - Jamesina

I think I truly expected something different, not a wannabe Zane -ish novel. I understand the story and the setting, but it just wasn't a great novel. Listen, we all know what the male shortage for Sistahs in the ATL is, based on the sexuality some men sway down South...but the mother-daughter love triangle got way outta hand. Guess it's just a story that's suppose to capture the reader. Is Spencer swaying ther other way too? I mean, once u read the book, you will know why I ask. I'm confused. Book # 2 of the Crystal series is on its way, maybe I'll understand more.

This is the first book I have struggled to finish by Mary B. Morrison. It was a really hard book to get into and at times it seemed like the book was all over the place. I found myself skipping pages to hurry and try to get the end. I really hope the series picks up in the second book with chapters dedicated to the other sisters because I got tired of just reading about Alexis.

2.5/3 stars......This was my least favorite read by this author. the characters were predictable. The only surprise was at the very end. the author had multiple storylines going which made me confused because there was never a true plot to the story.

Hot can we say.... Mary you gave done it again.... Keeping your reader on edge...... I can't wait to see how it all plays out in the next book.... Alexis and spencer have the same dad and she's pregnant by spencer 😔... I wonder if she would tell at that min, will she run out, will Blake be mad that she is having sex with her old lover son now she's in love with his son....... Wow
