I don't hate God's Word, just the poorly produced copy I bought. I purchased two. About a month after I received them, I noticed that the one I kept (gave the other to my wife), was misprinted. It goes from 2 Timothy 2:13 to Job 8:20, From Job 8:20 it goes through Psalm 28:6 and then to Revelation 1:1. I started the process to try and return it, but to my dismay, I can't because I discovered the misprint after 30 days from receipt. I guess next time I will go through an 1143 page book page by page to make sure it is not messed up at the printers. So lesson learned I guess, no more books from Amazon.

This is a very beautiful bible! It has a very pretty cover with a reddish-brown color and a dark brown strip in the center. It is rather large and heavy but makes it seem very durable in my opinion. The pages are thick paper so pen and even marker does not bleed through. I think it's a great price for a quality bible and it's perfect for those of us that like to take notes as we study. I only wish there was a better description and better pictures. I really had no idea what I was getting until it came in. Luckily I love it!

Thank you to everyone for their reviews and your photos - you helped me make up my mind! That's why I'm posting one w/ photos. I had originally ordered a completely different journaling bible in February, but it took them so long to mail it, that I finally canceled my order. I am very glad I changed my mind. I was going to get one of the versions that has 400 pieces of artwork in the bible to color with some space to do my own artwork and/or journaling. Most people gave that bible rave reviews, but one person said it was a little annoying because there was so much artwork that there was not enough space to pen her own thoughts. That was the comment that helped me make up my mind. I decided to get a bible just for my own thoughts. If I want to color, I will buy a coloring book. I sometimes just want to write a few thoughts down with minimal artwork, but sometimes I may want to create a bit of artwork too if I so choose. I like having that option. Plus this is all about what inspires me, not about what has inspired some random artist I don't even know. I did not buy some fancy journaling kit either. I just got some inexpensive gel pens and mechanical pencils and I have used coloring pencils and stencils I already owned. I would like to buy some highlighters that don't bleed through. Whatever design you want, there are many different versions out there. I would recommend doing as I have done, and read a ton of reviews on each bible. I think anyone you bought would be a blessing. For me, I was more interested in the journaling aspect than the coloring side. Although I will buy a few inspirational coloring books in the future as well. Mel wasn't sure he would want a journaling bible, but after seeing mine, he wants one too. Guess what I'll be buying him with my first full paycheck!!
