Delivered quickly and in mint condition. I haven't finished reading it yet, but so far it makes interesting fantastical reading of a young Richard Halliburton on his expedition amongst the ruins of Athens and tracing the route of Odysseus. Its a good idea to keep a map handy of Ancient Greece so you can enjoy a more interactive experience.

Here we go again. I have already given comments on this book. For the number of books I purchase I do not appreciate having these repetitive requests. I have too much "on my plate" to have the annoyance of this such duplication.

I worked the night shift as a union printer in the late 1970s. I was in my 20s and had done some exotic excursions to Europe, etc. I loved adventure and also loved to read great books. Fred Davies was nearing retirement just as I was beginning what I thought would be my lifetime trade. He worked night shift by desire, I because I had no seniority. One evening Fred came to me and said "I notice that you take a book into the locker room during lunch and read. It seems that you really love to read eh?"
That started my "literary friendship" with Fred Davies. He started bringing in books from "his time" and one day he gave me a copy of an original Richard Halliburton book. I devoured it and was awe struck by this man. In those days the only way to get more Halliburton books was through rare book stores. I started buying each of his books until I had the entire collection and have read all of them many times. I gave this 4 stars only because its not the best ...but 4 stars still means it is outstanding. Richard Halliburton should be a person that everyone in America has read or studied in school. But sadly, very few people know of this original superhero....get this or any of his books...you will be hooked.....
