This book is based on an old Native American tale that has lived many, many years. It's an excellent book for a child and parent to share a funny story about a silly, "clever" fox and the cute illustrations alone will hold your child's interest. In the first pages, the book offers some education-based suggestions for parents to encourage their child to read. Great, inexpensive tool to really make a difference in your child's reading abilities.

I am tutoring a little 1st grader at a children's home. This is one of the books I read there that had glaring punctuation errors concerning omission of commas. Should a publishing company not make sure that punctuation is accurate in readers for elementary-age children? I know that punctuation is not formally taught in the lower elementary grades, but I think that a child should see correct punctuation from the start.

I absolutely love the We Both Read book series!
This is a great way to spend time with your child learning to read.

One page is for parents and the other is for the child.
You can make it a little more challenging as your child's reading level advances having them try to read the parent page.

I would recommend this book and any other in this series to everyone with a child learning to read.
