Loved her on the BBC with Gordon Ramsey, it's a shame her restaurant didn't flourish after he left,
it did for awhile but for some reason she closed it down. I loved her spirit and her food looked amazing
and her book is something I'll cherish forever, her food and her recipes. A suggested buy for sure

I was quite excited to see this cookbook offered as I had watched Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares when Charita's failing restaurant was featured. It was, however, disappointing as it is geared to the British palate and not anything at all like the Soul food I've grown to love in the South (US) and throughout the United States. The author has been away too long. I don't consider her recipes to be authentic Soul food. Very disappointing to say the least.

Momma certainly spiced the England's often over criticized bland food (I love many things about the U.K. including the food, although Islam has such a foothold the once great nation will soon fall to Mu-Ham-Head). Now where I live Australia, the food is the PITS!!! Momma we need you here bigtime.
