I loved it so much I purchased the entire book, Soul of A Horse. I liked the nugget version better! The condensed book/nugget had the BEST part of the book in it. Very well written, informative and entertaining at the same time. I would and have recommended it to everyone; you don't have to be a horse lover to get the valuable insight about life and relationships that this book offers.

What has me so frustrated with this book (booklet) is it really has nothing to do with ground work. The title is very misleading. There are no tips on ground work, this is a feel good story about his relationship with horses (apparently an excerpt from "The Soul of the Horse"). It's very cute but just be aware that if you're looking for ground work tips and the like you're not going to get it here.

This is a great book. . I am not a trainer but I have always wanted a horse. I rushed to ride my new horse and hit the ground. LOL! I wish I"d found this book sooner. Once she got to know me; it's never happened again. I have had her for about a year now.

I expected more information. It was a well-written summary of how Joe Camp read other people's information and took what appealed to him. I also didn't realize it was taken from his full length book Soul of a Horse. For twice the money, I could have bought the whole book instead of just a piece.

I don't agree with all the methods taught in this book, but each trainer has their own way of going about things. I did learn a couple of things that I intend to implement to see if they will work for me. I would love to rate this book higher, but I just disagree with too much and three stars is pushing it. 2.5 is better. Still, people who are not professional trainers may glean a lot of very good advice and help them on their way to becoming better trainers and by learning from multiple professional trainers can develope their own system for want work for them and their horse(s).

No wonder this book is so small! I didn't realize when I bought it that it's "an e-book nugget from The Soul of a Horse". Don't bother getting this book. Just purchase the BIGGER book "The Soul of a Horse". This book has only five short chapters and as far as I can tell, you get the same thing in the "BIGGER" book. There isn't much to this one. I think I can probably read it in 15 minutes.
Sorry Joe. But I can't recommend this book of yours although I can highly recommend "The Soul of a Horse".

I loved the book "The soul of a horse", so I read this one. It felt like an extract of the other book. Same messages, same stories, same recommendations, not much new at all. A few more descriptions about different approaches of making a horse back up. On the other hand this book does miss important insights of the former book. Consequently I would recommend the soul of the horse book any time, but not this one.

I was excited to read this as I had rescued a very badly abused horse. I did learn something helpful about join up but, at lest with the version I was reading, it seemed to mostly be selling their other products.
