I just got this book and haven't had a chance to try any recipes yet but they do look delicious. If you grow your own food it has many recipes for canning and making jam plus nice salads and desserts for a crowd as well as your dinners for your family. It is a different book compared to the regular cookbook but a refreshing collection of recipes and summer hints.

I love to bake and Gooseberry Patch has tried and true recipes submitted from cooks all over the United States who has recipes handed down from generations that bring back the good baking from years ago. No wonder people ate at home then. The food was delicious.
