Manfred Baumann is doubtless one of the most interesting photographers working today. Manfred Baumann was born in 1968 in Vienna, and grew up in a close family. When he was 21, he turned professional and his photographic career started. Today Manfred Baumann's photographs are displayed in prestigious galleries all over the world. The models in this book are all very attractive, which in my opinion is one of the key factors in a book of nude photography. My only complaint (and it's pretty minor) is that the other key aspect in a book of nudes is emphasizing the physical beauty of the models, not trying to take a creative picture that happens to have a naked woman in it. There's some of each here, and as I said, that's a pretty minor issue to have. Overall this is definitely a worthwhile book.

Nude Fashion Models

This is Austrian photographer Manfred Baumann's second book with Swiss publisher Edition Skylight. And if anything, it represents an increased sense of mastery, if not outright maturity. Baumann's nudes here are highly stylized and seemingly created with great effort and orchestration. This is not surprising given that he is a rising star in the field of celebrity photography where perfection is often mandatory. Baumann must have access to an envious coterie of fashion models as there are some real beauties featured.

So if festive, girl-next-door nudes are your thing, this might not be your cup of tea. But if gorgeous, seemingly perfect, naked fashion models shot doing editorial-like work entice you - then this is sheer Nirvana. Superb work!
