I must admit that I am not an expert in this field. However, I am not new to the physics involved nor the level of mathematics involved. However, while this book offers a unique perspective on the subject, there are areas for considerable improvement.

All professional, technical texts such as this one should have a complete index. This is to assist the reader in returning to review a topic, quantity, or concept when it is referenced again later in the text, or to allow the reader to look up a topic in the future when returning to the text as a reference.
However, this text HAS NO INDEX! To me, this is inexcusable. All such deeply technical texts should have an exhaustive index. Too many technical texts have an index but it isn't sufficient in content. But I cannot understand why this text has NO index.

This text is a translation from French into English. It is my belief, from reading the text, and my own experience using software language translators, that it was likely translated by automated software. It further appears as though no human editor reviewed to book adequately to ensure that the translation resulted in text that "made sense", grammatically. While I do not pretend to be an English language professor (I'm an engineer), I found my brain "stumbling" repeatedly throughout the text as I came across sentences and, occasionally, entire paragraphs, that were so poorly structured I had difficulty interpreting what the author intended to say. In a few cases, I was left unable to interpret the text due to poor sentence structure.

I further believe that all texts that utilize mathematics heavily should include an exhaustive symbol reference. This test does have a symbol reference. However, it is incomplete.
