This is a companion to "The Earth" by Alberto Betrolazzi which I just wrote a Review for on October 12,2ooy. It is by the same people,and similar in size and other qualities.
Again with 735 pages and mostly photographs. I personally enjoyed this book more for a couple of reasons.First ,there is much more involvement with people,animals fish,and overall photographs that are more inspired and interesting than just beautiful photographs. Also,in "The Earth",the photographs are nearly all taken from aircraft;but in this book the photographs are from Space,from the Air,at Sea Level,From Boats,up close with animals,( Pages 207-239 Seas of Ice are supurb ,interesting and awe-inspiring).Then there are those fantastic photographs taken Underwater!! of fish and a variety of creatures.The photographs of Man's dwellings beside the sea and his enjoyment of Surfing and Sailing on the Sea. Shipwreck and other residue of History on the Seabed,the magnificence of volcanic interaction with the sea,all make this much more interesting to the reader ,or I should say,the viewer.
I have reviewed several books of this type and this is one of the best.

This is an amazing book with fantastic photos of the sea in all it's different shapes.

The book takes you around the world through hundreds of incredible photography.

I saw this book at a friend's and I had to buy my own copy!

Would make a great little coffee table book and is perfect for when you want to dream and escape from the polluted city in an instant!

I've been looking for an ocean book like this for so long. It's gorgeous and has everything you could want....colorful coral, waves, beautiful water, sunsets, etc. I 2nd the person who said "Perfect"!

There is always an eternal expert relationship with man and the sea t'hats everlasting bright and deep.With vast orignal immense photography that envelopes the background of the water itself for creatures that are capable of adaptaion legends that had evolved into strangely shaped shells.
