Ean Khaw summarizes a huge body of knowledge into an understandable text book for youth. Of course, that also makes it clear for adults as well.
I recommend this text book to ALL Parents. Parents should read it first, then have their children read it. You don't need to teach it, just start acting according to what you learned. Your life and your learning will dramatically improve. Your children will begin to understand you. And, you will begin to understand them.

This book teaches the Goldratt thinking tools. It is useful for a teacher desiring to teach an excellent set of critical thinking tools to children of any age. I am so tired of reading materials on critical thinking skills that basically say ask: who, what when, where, how, by whom, and with whom. I want to teach children to focus on the real issues, not ask a series of unlinked questions.
The book is also an invaluable resource for parents who want to teach their children how to think through problems, how to determine negative consequences of their actions (before taking the action) and how to achieve ambitious targets. The book contains a few typos but the content and examples are excellent.
In Malaysia, over 35,000 teachers were educated in the Goldratt thinking processes and all children are taught to use these tools while in the second grade. This book is the result of that effort. For more information of using the thinking processes in teaching children and teenagers how to think logically see the TOCforeducation website.

It was a very nice surprise. Just as I said, for me the better way to init in the world of TOC, the thinking tools. She (the autor) alter the normal way of present the tools, she init with the cloud and from it develop all the other tools. Very easy to read and understand, this book is a must if you want to deepend in the study of TOC and all his resources.

VERY RECOMMENDABLE

Has anyone ever taught you how to think clearly? If so, you can consider yourself a rare person. For the rest of us, learning how to think was not addressed at school or home, thus, we used only what the need forced us into. TOC (Theory of Constraints) is a different way to look at life, a philosophy if you will. But it's also a scientific body of knowledge, offering tools and techniques to leverage individual and collective thinking processes (TP's). These TP's are so simple in their nature (yet powerful) that even a child can master them in short time. That's what this book is about: to teach children how to think clearly, how to dissolve conflicts and how to achieve ambitious goals. Do you still have that little child inside? If so, teach her right now!
