The Business of Plastic Surgery is an EXCELLENT book for every person in the medical field, including practicing doctors and/or medical students pursuing to have their own private practice. It covers all the little details we don't learn from a class or school. I read many management books and attended many medical management conferences throughout my 10 years of medical management career (ophthalmology and plastic) and I found this book to be so well written, interesting and helpful in enhancing my knowledge and career in the medical industry. The list of contributing authors are amazing...ranging from board certified plastic surgeons, lawyers, consultants, to practice managers covering topics such as career directions for the residents in training, legal protection, marketing and monitoring as well as retirement and protecting assets.

I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone pursuing a career in the medical industry.

As a plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, I can attest to the value of this very well written and well organized book. Drs. Korman and Furnas have assembled an all-star list of authors who each contributed chapters in their area of expertise. The information in this book goes to the heart of the matter of each topic and is a must read for all new plastic surgeons and a must read for those of us who have been in practice for a while and need a fresh look at what is happening in the business of our field. I see this book as required reading for the anyone involved in the inner workings of a plastic surgery practice. This book is a must read for everyone entering the plastic surgery field. If you are a salesperson, new doctor finishing residency, or looking for work in the plastic surgery field this book will enhance your career. After reading this book I have no doubt that you can improve your sales numbers as a rep,launch a succesful plastic surgery practice as a doctor or improve your chances for employment in the field. Money well spent!
