Format: Audio CD
Before all our modern forms of entertainment were developed (including the phonograph), people listened to wind-band concerts. Sousa and his band toured the country (circa 1900), much as rock-and-roll bands do today. One of the most popular forms of music for the wind band was program music--a composition that told a story.

This is a delightful collection of such compositions--well performed and well recorded.

Format: Audio CD
I heard this on public radio and called them to find out what it was because I was so impressed. The album was so much fun to listen to. It contains a variety of music, very easy to listen to. To me it was a must order.
