My brother introduced this album to me in the mid-sixties. I've been looking for it for some time now with no luck, and finally found it. It was apparently recorded with little intervention - complete with flaws and of-the-moment emotion.

If you happen to be interested in authentic New Orleans Funeral music, this is the real deal. The sound quality is what you would expect from something recorded in 1951, however, it adds to the sense of authenticity.
