This CD is wonderful for the Broadway buff or the casual listener who wants something different to listen to in the car. As it has been said before, this is the CD to get if you're looking for one Andrew Lloyd Webber compilation CDs - don't be fooled by the cheaper counterparts - or you'll see exactly WHY they earned that price tag. This CD has the original recordings, but the only drawback of this CD is that it is rather out of date (1987) and you miss out on some great material from his later works ("Aspects of Love", "Sunset Boulevard"). There is a follow-up CD to this one aptly called "The Premiere Collection Encore" which picks up where this one left off; I recommend that as well.

This is the Best Andrew Lloyd Webber CD, I ever have.. First, the songs from Phantom Opera are richly and passionately romantic. And who can forget one of the most memorable song of the time, Memory? The rest of album are also excellent.

I have this recording on tape, and I was searching for the CD, as my tape is wearing out. When I saw this on Amazon, I was overjoyed!!!! I have heard this recording ever since I was four (during which time I reveled in singing "The Phantom of the Opera", but couldn't reach the high notes :) Although I love this recording, I still think that Michael Crawford sings "The Phantom of the Opera" best. Wonderful recording, with high quality music and excellent singers (yes, including the one who sings "Phantom" with Sarah Brightman), but I wish they had Micheal sing the Phantom title song with Sarah. However, if you are into Lloyd Webbers' music, this is a GREAT CD!!!!!! I have enjoyed listening to it immensely, and I sincerely hope everyone else does, too. KEEP COMPOSING SIR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER!!!!!

This has got to be the Best Andrew Lloyd Weber compilation album out there. It's more original then the others, for the famed musical "Phantom of the Opera" we finally get a break from the typical cast which gets tiring...and get more of a pop feel with "The Phantom of the Opera", and The guitars just make it sound cool! And not to mention of course a new singer for "All I Ask of You." (A good break for those fans who have the Original London Cast Recording) The true masterpieces of this CD are: "The Phantom of the Opera", "Superstar", "Memory" (From the Best Grizabella Ever, Elaine Paige), "Starlight Express", "Tell Me On A Sunday", "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" (Thankfully we get two different singers with this one and "Don't Cry for me Argentina"), "I Don't Know How To Love Him" and the conluding Latin-sung "Pie Jesu" with Sarah Brightman...which is simply Beautiful! Well, all of these are Simply beautiful and this really is a Must Buy for any Andrew Lloyd Weber or Modern-day Broadway fan. I got this for my sister six or seven years ago and I still listen to it all the way thru to this very day! Just goes to show how monumental Weber was in the Modern Day world of Broadway and we will always remember his musicals as some of the best in Broadway. Definatly Reccomended! I give this CD an A++!

My mother received this CD for a gift, but me, her fifteen-year-old daughter is the one who can't stop listening to the breathtaking musical abilities of the various artists on the CD. I was so taken by the incredible voices of the artists, It has become the CD I listen to when ever I am able to. The songs on the album are wonderful examples of Andrew Lloyd Webber's astounding talent. When I saw other people's reviews of the CD on the Amazon website, I was so glad that this remarkable CD is also a favorite of many other fans. I urge any other fans of Andrew Lloyd Webber to experience this extraordinary CD.
