I bought this CD for my mother who loved it as a child. Every year we play holiday music while getting the house decorated and she mentions how she loved this album back in her day when they had cassette tapes. (back in the old days) This CD arrived and we immediately put it in the CD player and it had all the original songs listed and even though it was remastered the sound quality was great. She loves it and started to dance around the house all goofy.

Full price purchase.

I bought this for my Grandma who had lost her copies. She loves to play nothing but this type of music during the holidays. It brought back memories of childhood. She was very happy and also my nieces and nephews enjoyed listening to the Chipmunks since they are now familiar with them due the recent movies.

I loved the chipmunk records as a little kid, had not heard these songs in 30 plus years. This CD brings back a lot of great and cherrished memory's when things were better and more simple, my brother is six years older than me and hated it when mom or dad would put the LP on, but my dad would smile and tell him, we listened to them with you, now were going to play them for him. Great times and memories. I recomend this totaly for little ones, and those that want to remember their own childhood Christmas's AND even the young at heart.

I bought this CD to introduce my toddler to the "real Chipmunks." I loved this record when I was little. The only thing that would make it better is if "All I Want For Christmas" was on the CD, but I knew this before I ordered it.

I have been listening to this album for over 40 years; I remember my parents buying it for me when I was in kindergarten and it has been a regular holiday favorite ever since. When I bought my first CD player, this was one of the first holiday recordings I purchased to replace my old vinyl collection. Alvin and the gang are here in force - singing with glee. But one thing that gets little mention are the fabulous orchestral arrangements, which are rich, intricate and worthy of any of the crooners which graced the recording industry at the time (Sinatra included). The "White Christmas" arrangement is probably my favorite version - above and beyond even Crosby's iconic recording. It is one of the most beautiful treatments of that song ever recorded. The other songs are equally well presented and one can't forget that wonderful "Chipmunk Christmas Song" that has never gone out of fashion. Now I treat my nieces and nephews to this album - and they like it as well. I only wish some channel would re-run the old "Alvin Show" so that they can see the wonderful cartoons this was based on.

Listening to the Chipmunks Christmas recording after Thanksgiving dinner has been traditional with our family ever since our children were small. It is now a tradition with them, too, & no matter where we are together or apart we all know we will be listening to Chipmunks together which brings about a special close feeling.
