I am not kidding. I have many CDs and love all kinds of music, from Rockabilly to Gregorian Chants by way of the British Invasion and Classical. However, this is my most cherished CD. I can't imagine a collection of greater talent, songs that dig into your heart, power and sweetness,and all good things. I have two, just in case something happens to the first and I can't locate another very quickly. This man is the best.

Recommendation--listen to this with the lights out, particular while listening to the first 7 songs.

Magnificent, and I don't use that word lightly.

My reviews are simple and not necessary. This is the Big O.If you are a music lover and of age,this collection is for you.I have lots of the Big O's music,but this the first time i have all of his ballads on one cd.This is a well put together disc for not only Big O music lovers, but old-school music lovers as well. I wanna say that this is a must have purchase,but i honestly want to be the only one who has it.

What can i say... Otis Redding has a way with his music... he can be talking about himself... or coming to be in his arms... he makes you want to live, to love, LOVE SONGS is a superior collection for that!

Otis Redding was truly THE greatest male R&B vocalist of the 1960s and his music shall forever remain timeless. This compilation shows his great skills as a balladeer and is an absolute "Essential" for all serious Soul fans out there. Indispensable indeed.
