Great for final reports and presentations. Best uncoated inkjet printer paper I've found where you desire to keep the tactile feel of "normal" paper. I've tried most kinds, including 100% cotton, presentation papers, and other brands of inkjet papers ranging from Kodak to Georgia-Pacific to Weyerhauser. Printouts appear sharp and colour images fairly good, though it's obvious that coated stock makes for brighter colours in pictures. Black text appears almost the same on this paper as it does on the HP coated paper, so use this one and save money (and you can print on both sides).
Because this is uncoated paper, it doesn't have that chalky fingernail-on-chalkboard feeling that the coated papers have. This is an important point when you have to give presentations where people will handle the papers. It has a thick luxiourious feel for 24# stock and doesn't suffer print-through.
Upon testing with some generic ink refills, this paper holds up well to some of the thinner generic inks that might bleed through on other papers. The older HP paper stock was 96 bright, then HP improved it to 106 brightness and the most current incarnation of this paper is at 108+ brightness.

I love this paper! It is certainly bright white. While the brightness is too much contrast and shiny-ness for me to preach from, it's brilliantly wonderful for anything else. What I really like about it, though, is its thickness - it isn't an easily rippable, cheap paper. You can abuse these pages a bit, and they won't go mashugga on you. And being designed by HP for their printers, of course the ink hits the page and sticks there without bleeding, smearing, running, or anything else. Of all the papers (copier paper, other inkjet paper, letterhead, etc.) I have run through my photosmart printer, apart from the premium photo paper, this is the best. By far. If you have an HP inkjet, you have to be using this paper. And truth to tell, you can print a photo on it, too, and it will look pretty darn good.

I use this paper in my HP Deskjet 895 Cse and all I can say is...consider this paper for color! I use it for documents I want to go have laser copied as well. I was so happy to find this paper here at Amazon. Who knew! Now I can add a pack of paper when I buy a book. I have not found a better paper for inkjet printers. Plus, this is specifically made to go with the HP products and ink. I give it a 10!

I would have given this product six stars if possible. I ordered it twice in small quantities and I LOVED it. When I was convinced that I would never again use any other paper, I placed a much larger order. When I opened the first package and handled the paper, I said right out loud "Those dirty dogs!" The first two orders I received were substantial weight, bright white and had a smooth "hand". When the third order arrived, it was lightweight, definitely not bright white, and somewhat rough to the touch. I'm not sure I could have distinguished it from what we call the "junk" paper that we use in our office, which I got on a big sale for about $1 a ream. I e-mailed the vendor to see what in the world was going on; I didn't think HP would stoop so low as to change the product, so I assumed the vendor was trying to pull a fast one. The vendor replied that my e-mail was the first they had heard the problem mentioned, and there was no further response. After I had finally used up the entire order, I was hesitant to re-order the product from Amazon, so I went to Office Max and purchased two reams at nearly $14 each. Again, it feels like third-rate paper. I know it probably sounds like I'm a little crazy, but two other people in my office feel the same way I do about the paper being downgraded. I won't purchase this product again, and now my search for a high-quality bright-white paper begins anew.

Just like it says it is. It does great with my color inkjet. The color doesn't make the paper weak and wet - like it does with other papers. Also, you can print on both sides without seeing awful interference.

Simply put, I LOVE this paper.

FIrst, it is nice and thick and works very well with ink jet printers without any bleed through or feeling wet after a large graphic is printed. Far too many papers these days are thinner and (to me) feel cheap by comparison.

This is helped even more by the fact that this paper is substantially whiter than most papers, giving both images and text more "pop" and better visibility.

If you're only going to print coupons or something, feel free to get a cheaper paper, but if it's anything you may want to keep, I can't recommend this paper more highly.

So, how does this product compare against "Hammermill Inkjet Paper, 96 Brightness, 24lb, 8-1/2 x 11, White, 500 Sheets/Ream"?
For the purposes of printing up office flyers and other everyday items you would like to present to others at the office - it's about the same.
HP is a much whiter paper than the hammermill and colors appear to be brighter than hammermill which appears to print deeper colors. It's more noticeable as the paper drys.
My printer is an edge to edge memjet and most of what I print is full color, so, if white borders and open white open areas are important to you, then HP is probably the best to go with. However, if printing full color, I would recommend Hammer Inkjet.
Basically, the decision should come down to price - both brands use the same weight and one feels as flimsy as the other and unless you are holding both pieces side by side, I don't think any differences would be noticed.
