About the Artist
Thank you for your interest in my recordings! I am the title performer and as well as the producer. For most of my professional life I have been a classical violinist. I was a titled member of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in New York, and was also Concertmaster (first chair violinist) of the internationally acclaimed Mantovani Orchestra for a couple of their national tours.
I have two degrees in music performance: a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas, and a Masters from the Yale School of Music.
However, after branching out on my own as a booking agent and promoter of my own pop groups, I developed a new style....sort of a synthesis of classical, swing, jazz, and simply romantic pop music. I eventually started making recordings with the musicians I most enjoyed hiring and playing with, all of whom are world class performers.
All four recordings have mostly been recorded live: myself and my superb musicians all playing together in the studio, resulting in a more exciting, and a more "organic" performance. Yet, we did not sacrifice the "note perfection" or the crispness of a studio quality. The result was an engaging, lush instrumental easy listening sound that also sounds as if you are there in the concert hall, the night club, or the dance hall.
In my first three recordings, I play violin in along with piano, bass, and drums. In my fourth and latest, I play mostly with an acoustic guitarist. I am currently working on a 5th recording tentatively titled, "Serenade".
In addition to being a violinist, I am also a professional actor: having acted in commercials, dinner theater, and TV shows. (I co-starred as the guest bad guy on an episode of the CBS late night cop show, "Dangerous Curves", and was also an outraged customer on an episode of "Walker, Texas Ranger".) My vocations and avocations tend to be the same, though I also love to take long swims at a local lake outside of Dallas (Lake Ray Hubbard) and am also a tennis player! I love the outdoors, almost as much as music!
