Did you know that a brachiosaurus packed away 700 pounds of food in one day? Children can learn facts like this by playing the all new version of Dinosaur Adventure. Completely different from the old classic made in 1994, this one comes with six solid activities that expose kids to dinosaur facts while asking them to use their problem solving skills. Players explore the Cretaceous, Triassic and Jurassic time periods with the help of dinosaur characters Rolf and Pterrance. Their quest is to locate missing dinosaur eggs that were left behind during the invasion of a T-Rex. Though the pop-up menu at the bottom of the screen and other navigation features caused some confusion for testers, on the whole, they gave high marks to the activities. Kids particularly enjoyed the Galloping Gallimumuses game in which they guide a stampede of dinosaurs out of a canyon to escape the T-Rex. Children loved assembling dinosaur bones and also enjoyed jumping across rocks and logs to rescue a baby dinosaur stranded on an island. These games are mostly just for fun but the exposure to dinosaur trivia is a plus for young dinosaur fans.
