What a complete waste of money. This is a poorly designed clamping miter gauge, with enough play in each of the assembled parts to render it all but useless. It is sensitive to any contact with anything to the point of being unusable. The parts are very low quality, they don't fit together well, and actually using the clamp (its salient feature) causes the miter angle to change by as much as three degrees.
Save your money. The only thing worthwhile about this utter piece of garbage is the bar that goes in the miter slot on your table saw. That can be salvaged and attached to a jig.
Simply horrible.

This is probably one of the poorest made table saw accessory I have ever seen. I purchased it to replace the gauge that came with my craftsman saw only to find that it was worse. It is cheaply made, fits together poorly and will not hold an angle. (bump it, and the slop in the pivot allows it to move about 3 degrees). The only redeeming feature is the hold down, which is a good idea, but it doesn't work. The adjuster slips under moderate pressure and will allow the work to come loose or shift. If you're a SWMBO buying one for your spouse, just make sure you insure the heck out of him first!

The product is acceptable, but it is not the same as the picture shows. The packaging was terrible. It was in the original lightweight box (not a shipping box) and the product had poked through it in several places. Also, it appeared to have come open because there were no assembly instructions included. This is the only time I have ever received anything through the mail that was not in a shipping box.

The slide bar was to tall for the grove in my table saw, There was a 1/16" gap under the miter on both sides, I ended up having to use the old bar from the original miter gauge that had broke, I used the Woodstock's slide for a template for the old slide, Drilled and tapped the holes I needed to mount the Woodstock miter gauge to my old slide, I then had to make 2 custom spacer washers for the pivot point screw and the adjuster knob for setting the angles, Now the updated unit sits perfectly flat on the table with no play whatsoever.
Now the Woodstock works great.

Whoever was responsible for designing this should probably be fired, and if they can maintain any sense of personal decency, they'll seek work in another profession. Maybe gardening in a nursery. Maybe herding sheep. Just not anything related to engineering or product design. The corners that were cut in the design of this product don't even make sense. Make no mistakes, this is a bad product, and I can only recommend that you avoid it.

Also, somebody needs to have a word with quality control, because I'm seriously doubting that this was just a one-off mistake. There are problems with every aspect of the gauge that should have been caught and stopped well before someone agreed to sell this as a product. This shouldn't have made it into the hands of a customer.

This didn't come with instructions. It did come with an exploded parts view and that was enough for me to put it together, but it shouldn't have taken as long as it did. A simple page with an accurate breakdown of the steps would have been better than nothing. There isn't a part of this gauge that doesn't shake, wobble, rack, or rattle. The bar, the handle, the gauge, the clamp, the everything. Nothing is quite right.

You can see the grinding tool marks on the handle. Sure, it's cosmetic, but you can actually see that nobody put any effort into actually making this.

This does have a few small upsides though. The handle casting is surprisingly good. The trigger mechanism, though basic, is mechanically functional. The way it's attached to the arm with the clamping screw is shameful, but the basic clamping concept is at least tolerable after a little fine tuning. Thankfully I bought this for a sander. I would be terrified to consider this a table saw accessory and using it would be like begging for kickback.
