1.0 out of 5 stars Good game or giant flop?, October 4, 2001
By A Customer
This is a casino game that isn't worth trying. I've had more fun watching grass grow. The games is dull and slow and the gameplay is identical. I'd reccomend just going online to somewhere like pogo.com to play.

3.0 out of 5 stars I've seen better casino-type games, November 17, 1999

Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
This game has realistic casino sounds and some funny dealer interaction, but the graphics aren't spectacular and the gameplay can get a bit dull and mechanical. I have played shareware casino games that offered feedback on your strategy, and I felt those were more fun and more useful, since one of the reasons I would want to play a casino video game is to learn how to win in real life.

The main point of this video game seems to be getting you to visit the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, so a slide-show-style tour of the casino is included in the game. I don't know how effective it is to use a somewhat mediocre game to advertise a casino. It certainly didn't make me more inclined to go there.

4.0 out of 5 stars I'm not sure either way, May 12, 2003
By A Customer
I'm not a hard-core gambler, so I don't have anything to compare it to. I thought it was fun because I didn't lose any money. I didn't gain any either. I like Blackjack and the other games. How much more exciting can a game be? Gamblers need to realize that nothing will be as good as the real thing. The reason it seems dull is because the excitement of winning isn't there. Gambling is exciting because you can win a lot of money. This is not a game for people in gamblers' anonymous. People gamble because they are money-hungry, not because they like the games. If you didn't like this game, go to Oneida, North Starr, or the Real Golden Nugget and stop your bitching.
