I bought this to get a stripped head of a nut or bolt loose gripping three sides to get a good hold on them. I do home remodeling mostly kitchens and bathrooms, but found an additional use for these. When you remove trim from around doors and baseboards using a pry bar, the finishing nails usually come out with the trim. When you try to get the finishing nails out of the trim, you have to knock them back through and it usually will mess up the face of the trim. I use these to pull the nails through the back side and roll them out. The trim is not damaged and can be reused. I also use these as nail pullers when I remove boards or trim and I want to get the nails out. Use the vise grip to hold the nail and the round side to roll the nails out easily.

At the price I paid for this 10LW, I almost stole it. What a value!

This is the Mac Daddy version of the 4US which is one of my favorite tools and THE Go-to wrench for cracking open tight and rusty hydraulic fittings like on brakes and clutches. I really like the adjuster at the tail of the wrench. It bites with extreme force without damaging fragile fittings.

This wrench is a lot bigger and chunkier than I thought it would be, so I unfortunately won't be able to use it for the application I bought it for, but it still gets 5-stars because of its quality build, action and material. I won't return it, I'll keep it just because the little model is so phenomenal This big one looks and feels fantastic in my hand. The action is really nice. Looks like it'll last a lifetime if cared for.

I'm going to have to use the smaller wrench (Amazon's description below) with a thin metal pipe extension for more torque to break loose an oil pressure sender that's been on my iron engine block for 40 years. That'll be a real test of its durability. I'll buy another one even if I break it, it's paid for itself 50-100x over again for what I've done with it already and I'm just a normal person who likes to work on my own cars. I have to say it's invaluable for anyone replacing brake lines, brake cylinders, clutch cylinders or lines, and not wanting to risk damaging fittings and/or stripping/rounding off bolts, or paying hundreds or thousands of dollars in labor. It made what were probably impossible jobs to do (for me) into a pleasurable successful repair.

While not the intended purpose of the tool, it is perfect for holding 1/2" EMT conduit while you are cutting it or de-burring. Tool is excellent quality. According the label it is made in Taiwan (as opposed to PRC).

Of course you can use it to grip a nut, even a pretty rounded nut. But you can also spit a coupling nut, weld the halves onto the jaws and used it to quickly clamp a similarly threaded rod. Makes a nice ghetto sheet metal brake. Get one, you won't be sorry for long.

Actually bought the 3 different sizes. This is a great set of tools. Rounded off nuts look out. Most bolts and studs can be removed. Using drills and easy out much less. Haven't used nut splitter or torches near as much. Impressed so much will purchase another set. One set in shop the other in service truck.
