The Good:
Vacuum has great suction (and blowing) power. Simple, sturdy design. Milwaukee's (email) customer service is great.
The Bad:
Why did I need customer support? The assembly instructions don't specify which way to put on the wheels. Please DO NOT hammer the metal hub caps onto the wheels before FIRST fitting the assembly of the undercarriage on the lower rim of the metal body of the vacuum. The wheels only go on ONE way. Once the wheels are on inside out, it's EXTREMELY hard to pry the hub caps back off. Removal involves the metal blade of a spackling tool (to protect the soft plastic of the wheels), a screwdriver, safety goggles, and quite a bit of swearing. If you avoid putting the wheels on inside out, assembly is easy.
The Ugly:
When ordering the vacuum, I called amazon customer service to find out whether the vacuum will be delivered with attachments. The employee at amazon's call center read the website to me I was looking at (which didn't contain that information). I ordered the vacuum, and found out it DOES NOT come with attachments, or even one vacuum bag (for dry dirt). I ordered the (rather expensive) accessories from a provider I googled, they were not available on amazon. To this day, I have not received them (it's been more than three weeks, and will take at least another, according to their rather vague response).
UPDATE:
After 9 weeks of waiting for the accessory order to arrive, I cancelled my order. The Milwaukee vacuum kit is available directly from amazon now, for a better price. Arrived at my doorstep two days later.
I LOVE using my Milwaukee 8955, it's a bit noisy but that comes with the territory.
Height measurements of vacuum (in case you wondered, like I did): Height of vacuum, fully assembled, bottom of wheels to top of body: 31" approx. Total height of vacuum, bottom of wheels to top of handle: 38.5" approx.
