This double disc set, LONELY STREET and THE VILLAGE OF ST. BERNADETTE was released about the same time I fell in love with Andy Williams. And this love affaird, although one sided has lasted for well, a very long time. His music and singing never dissapointed me, and seem to have a song for my every mood, good or bad.
The first disc, Andy sings early 1950's songs, including LONELY STREET, and I'M SO ALONE, UNCHAINED MELODY. The second disc went a little more spiritual....HE
THE THREE BELLS, CLIMB EVERY MOUNTAIN, COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS, and my favorite, THE VILLAGE OF ST. BERNADETTE. This song was written by a tourist who was awed by Lourdes, France, the Chapel, and St. Bernadette, that this song is the result of how deeply she felt during her trip. And Andy captures her passion in her song.

If you are an Andy Williams fan, buy this CD....its a goood early set musically. Thank you

Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
Circa 1960, this album will be a treat for any fan who remembers Andy during the Cadence years. The versatility of the singer goes from spiritual ("Sweet Morning") to broadway("Climb Every Mountain")from the then- broadway show "Sound of Music". He also sings the McGuire Sisters hit "He", as well as Frankie Laine's "I Believe". Also included is the album from a year earlier "Lonely Street", also one of his biggest songs . In many ways, his deeper baritone range is more appealing, especially for these selections of songs. Wishing you happy listening!
