Product Description

Amazon.com Review

The P3 International P7900 Sonic Molechaser makes moles scram by emitting a penetrating sound that sets the rodents' sensitive hearing on edge. Operating in a circular pattern of 120 feet, the Molechaser also chases off ground squirrels, shrews, voles, pocket mice, and gophers. It won't harm the rodents or your earthworms or your pets; it won't even harm your lawnmower, because you can bury it flush with the ground. At 1-3/4 inches in diameter and 16 inches long, the stout aluminum Sonic Molechaser doesn't require an excavation of your garden. Plus, you can replace the four D-cell batteries--approximately once every 4 to 6 months--without digging it up. The Molechaser gives off 300 Hz of sound at 15-second intervals and works best in unobstructed, moist clay soil. If soil is dry, sandy, or peat soil, you may need a couple of Molechasers to get rid of moles for good. --Emily Bedard

Product Description

The Molechaser is the easiest, most environmentally friendly way to get rid of moles, voles, gophers, shrews and other burrowing rodents. Simply bury the sturdy aluminum Molechhaser in your lawn and rodents will be on their way! Unit produces a penetrating underground sonic impulse that irritates rodents and motivates them to move to a quieter area.

1.0 out of 5 stars Yard Care-Molechaser-Honest Evaluation!, April 30, 2002
By A Customer
I've had a serious Mole problem destroying my Yard and other Landscaping for approximately 5 years. I have tried everything with limited success. Poison, traps, flooding their subterrainian subway system etc. As a last resort I tried two molechasers in a 5000 Square foot lot. (a desperate measure I admit). According to instructions 1 Molechaser is enough to cover a lot this size, 5000 sq feet. Don't waste your time and money on these things they are a huge gimmick. I have multiple mole piles 3 inches from the molechaser, tunnels all around both of them. If anything it appears to have aggrivated the Moles, and it most certainly did not scare them off! USE TRAPS, or accept living with the little diggers, but don't buy this rediculous product..... it's a scam! Your better off hiring a Mole Psychic! The only place for these falsely advertised Battery powered Probes is up the manufacturers subterrainian shaft!

5.0 out of 5 stars Moles/Voles... little rodents!, November 8, 2003
By A Customer
I own and operate a professional lawn care and landscaping company. There is nothing more I hate than a mole/vole. I have tried mechanical traps, piercing tools, flooding, and tried killing the grubs/earthworms. In fact, the thought of using explosives like Bill Murray in Caddyshack has crossed my mind (on SEVERAL occasions). Since it is very hard to convince my customers in installing a pet fencing system, getting a cat, and training the 'mouser' cat to catch moles...these things suffice. I install mine using a bulb auger, check their operation quarterly, and they seem to work well (in hard, compacted clay)...If you have a lawn care/landscaping business, these are wonderful devices to sell your customers on (although they do make a funky vibe noise)...

1.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT work for my gopher, April 13, 2002
By A Customer
My gopher loves the sound. It seems its activity has increased ever since I placed this product. Find new holes in the very close vicinity of this product every morning. I am considering to use traps.

5.0 out of 5 stars P7900 mole chaser works well
The P3 7900 works the best. The sound bothers the gophers, but doesn't bother me. (unlike the plastic ones that have a very clear and annoying sound to me)

4.0 out of 5 stars Maintaining a mole free lawn - but I may be going overboard
