Bought this mostly for use in wood for DIY projects with PVC pipe that is exactly 1 5/8" in outside diameter. Also used for cutting cable ports in particle board panelling. Doesn't cut very fast, even at 2000 RPM, but overall works cleanly. The removed wood will always get stuck in the saw, and it's often hard to remove and requires removing the saw from the mandrel to extract the wood. Dewalt's quick-change mechanism makes this much less painful.
