Jeepers! I opened up the package and saw this small 'bowl thing' and my heart sunk. For, I was shopping for single/smaller servings for a pie. I bought one for my husband, and one for my beloved son, whom both like different types of pies but neither can eat a whole thing before it spoiling. I showed these pie plates to my guys and they both loved them. They thought they were perfect. Thinking they were just saying that to be nice, I made the pies anyway. Once I got the crust in, I was convinced they weren't too small because the depth was perfect. The heat in the stoneware made my crusts even better, the sizing was absolute, and there was even enough for each to sample each others pie. For once being skeptical, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

I had looked for individual pie dishes a couple of years ago, but the nice stoneware ones are very hard to find and very expensive. When we purchased Fiestaware dishes recently, I happened to come across this pie plate and I had to order some, especially when I realized Amazon had a special offer of buy 4 for the price of 3! Since I could not find these dishes in the store anywhere, I ordered a set of 4, sight unseen, and was very pleased when they arrived. The quality is wonderful like you would expect from Fiestaware, they were well-packed and arrived in good condition, and they are very attractive. They will make great ice cream bowls or other dessert bowls in addition to being used for individual pot pies. We even used them this morning for scrambled eggs. I think we are going to get a lot of use out of these bowls because of their practical size and their beauty. I love them!

Was looking for a small pie plate for just 2 people and this is it. The color is even, it bakes pies wonderfully, cleans easily and is just the right size. I make a lot of pies for clients who are retired and want a pie just not the standard size so this is perfect. You have the wonderful Fiesta quality and a very useful size. I also use this to roast red potatoes in olive oil and coarse salt, they go to the table beautifully.

Just used one of them today and I am very pleased to say it worked very well for a small pie. I make a number of large pies every year and like to use the left over dough for a couple of small ones for myself. These little plates are just perfect for that.

I absolutely love the new Scarlet color by Fiestaware. Mine did arrive in one piece which is a miracle as the box looked like it had been used for soccer practice -- sometimes I think those Fragile stickers result in box abuse!

I was surprised at how small it was, but it did say 6" and 6" it is. You won't bake a pie in it (unless you make individual ones) but it will be great for dips and sauces.

It is built just like the full size Fiesta pie plates, only it's mini. The size is perfect for one or two servings, depending on what you make. It would make a nice chicken pot pie for one, or a quiche for two. I'm not sure I would make a pie with a crust as the ratio of crust to filling would be off (too much crust) because of the smaller size. The scarlet color is just as shown on the page. I'm very pleased with it and will likely buy some others, possibly in different colors. I will add that I chose the scarlet because it was only $7.50 while some of the other colors were as high as $28. there were a few for slight over $10 that I might order.

I used it for the first time tonight to make a quiche, which turned out beautifully, just it does in the full size pie plates.
