My son has the videos, the trucks (including the hard to find Lofty), the tool belt and hat and he knows all of the words to the theme song. He also owns this CD and, its disappointing at best. The games are trite, even for my 2 1/2 year old. While the game looks nice with the 3-D shorts at the beginning and end of each game, its difficult to see any long term game playing here. One star is probably too high.

I got this game for my 2 1/2 year old and he seems to like it. Playing hide and seek with Pilchard or helping Spud scare birds. Not bad for a 2 year old, but I can see him becoming tired of it in about a year. A plus is the low price and the ease of use for my son. I wouldn't suggest this game for anyone over 3, but under 3's should like it.

My son is 3 1/2 and loves Bob and playing on the computer. This CD was a huge disappointment. It does not meet the standards of most quality Windows 95/98 CDs for this age group. Most of the movement through the games is done with the arrows on the keyboard rather than the mouse - primitive at best. My son likes to see the characters that he knows and loves but is bored with the program after about five minutes. Graphics, music, voice assistance are all out of date. Too bad. We bought this program in the U.K. Was hoping that the U.S. version would be something different but from the picture of the cover that Amazon is showing it appears to be the same CD ROM that I have. Too bad.

I actually WAITED for this to come out...my son wanted it so much...now that it is here i can't say how terribly dissapointing it is...the games are tedious and uneducational and even worse, boring for my 4 year old....i own MANY (ok, WAY too many) cd's - this is one of the worst

This is the most boring program my son has - for me anyway. He likes parts of it but gets tired of it quickly. It's also very hard to navigate with the mouse. He's just over two now and he LOVES Bob but he hardly ever picks this game to play. There are more fun things on the Bob the Builder website. I would not recommend this game, even for Bob fans.

As someone mentioned before, "Most of the movement through the games is done with the arrows on the keyboard rather than the mouse" but he was reviewing the UK version of the game as he said. The US version allows you to use the mouse as well, which is nice because this game is a perfect introduction to kids and computers! Having different skill levels in the game is a nice touch as well! The girl wont stop playing it!!

This program does not run at all on Windows XP.
The canned response from THQ "support":
"THQ does not offer support for any of our products running on Windows XP, 2000 or NT, unless otherwise stated on the packaging. Many of our products that were designed for Windows 95/98 will not detect other operating system, as an optimized operating system, and therefore may not properly install or run."
Why are they still selling games that will only run on Windows 98? That OS is over 5 years old! How can THQ justify selling software that will not work on a current OS? (Windows XP has been out for nearly two years.) Worse yet, how can they justify taking our money for it just to dissapoint our children when it won't run. If they insist on selling this outdated junk, they should put a warning sticker on it and make the limitations prominent on the packaging. Shame on you THQ.

Hard to believe THQ thought this one was ready to ship. A pretty scanty product-- there aren't many games on the disk, and the one that are are short and not much fun to play. My 2 1/2 year old loves both Bob and kids' computer games, but lost interest in this one right off. One gets the feeling the publisher had a deadline to meet, and no time to take a look at the finished product and give it a good clean-up. Even more disjointed and less fun than the same publisher's "SpongeBob SquarePants" game.
