Great Game!, June 7, 2002
As far as gameboy color standards go, this is one of the best games made. The fact that you can duel people that you see on tv gives this game an extra aspect of fun. When you first begin you start out with a pretty good deck, so even if you dont know stuff about the game you still have a good chance. When you start to get tired of it because you cant win, there are plenty of scret passwords to help you there. Also, I collect the cards and now that I have this, I wish I had boughten it sooner. One because its fun, and two, the prices of cards really add up, so with this game you dont have to spend as much time and money going out and buying cards. Further more, if you do collect the cards, than this game will help you in two ways. One, is that its a good simulator for a real duel so it keeps you on your feet for real duels. Two it comes with three of the best cards in the game, Dark Magician, Blue Eyes White Dragon, and a piece of Exodia the forbidden one!! This is a really great game for those who watch the show or play the card game, but also for those who want a level of card play higher than pokemon but not as violent as magic the gathering.

Too Good!, September 7, 2002
A Kid's Review
This game is great for Yu-Gi-Oh Lovers! This game is like Pokémon but better and with cards. If you like Pokémon, and card games, this is a good game for gamers who like action and simulation games. Some duelist might be hard but, you gotta give them all you've got and show them who's the boss. Passwords might be also helpful like Dark Magician: 46986414 and Blue Eyes White Dragon: 89631139 . This game goals is you have to Battle all the duelists to get Yuki Grandfather Back. The game box has 3 official limited game cards inside which is very rare like salamandra and acid trap hole. This game main menu option are: 1. Campaign 2. Constuction 3. Versus 4. Trade 5. Records 6. Change Name 7. Password Screen. The Construction area is that when you win each duel, you get a card part and at the construction area, you make a card from a card part. Versus area. This area is a head to head with a friend connected with GameBoy Cable (not included). This is a good thing that when you win a head to head duel, you get 20 pts to your deck capacity! Records Area. This area shows your dueling records. The screen shows the name, #'s of link battles and wins, Duel Level, and your deck Volume ( A.K.A Deck Capacity). There are 3 towns + 1 secret area. I hope you enjoyed my review on ...... Yu-Gi-Oh : Dark Duel Stories!

A serious waste of time!, March 27, 2002
I've played Magic the Gathering on and off for years. The video versions have always been terrible. Yu-Gi-Oh Dark Duel Stories is nothing like those. It's fun, it's addictive and you'll waste a good portion of any given day playing it! It's not just that it's a well-paced game, it's that it's also an intuitive game. I had no idea how to play it when I bought the game, the instruction manual is spotty at best (I'll be purchasing the strategy guide when it comes out) but after 4 or 5 rounds I had a handle on the play mechanics and the meager instructions that were included started to make sense. I'm anxious to link up and play against a human but for now there's no shortage of challenging computer opponents to play against. Also worth mentioning is the amazing card library that's included (more than 700 individual cards)plus the card construction area that allows you to customize up to 10,000 cards! Now the downside: The graphics are fairly simplistic and in some cases downright rough, there's not a lot of animation and the music is pretty annoying, and not one of those things takes away for a minute from the great gameplay. If you can find it, buy it, you won't be disappointed.
