More of the best from one of the greatest Cuban soneros of the 20th century. Recorded during his most prolific period, the songs on this great CD demonstrate the essence of the Cuban son montuno, guajira and conjunto styles--both this CD and its companion volume ("Lo Mejor De Monguito Vol.1) are essentials for any serious fan or lover of Cuban music. One minor complaint, however: Why were the tracks "Rumberos De Ayer" and "No Le Llamen Salsa A Mi Son" needlessly repeated on both volumes?
