I love these hair dryers and have had really good luck with them. My whole family uses them daily, often twice, and they still last at least a year or longer.

If you have extremely thick and long hair, they do tend to overheat-- but mainly if you bury it deep in your hair so it can't breathe. Two women in the house use it and they have fairly thick heads of hair, and they have no problem.

I recommend the dryer heartily, but be forewarned-- the comb attatchment teeth will start to break out in a few months. YOU WILL NEED REPLACEMENT ATTATCHMENTS. They cost a few bucks each. I have never used the brush which gets poor reviews, so maybe avoid this unit if the brush is critical.

im an African woman. i have thick coarse hair as most black people do. i love this hair dryer. gets my hair pretty straight. hot and heavy heat is the trick. this has 1875 watts. lots of heat. so that gets my hair straight. i still need to use a flat iron to curl it if i want it curled, or put rollers in it.

I have long, thick, curly hair. Think Kerri Russell without the full time stylist. The humidity where I live makes it very hard to style and even harder to hold the style. Enter this jewel. One handed styling with the comb attachments works wonders and the ionic technology dries my hair faster, shinier, and straighter than anything else I have ever used. A few small issues: the brush attachment is absolutely useless. I would have preferred a concentrator. The fine tooth comb, necessary for a smooth finish, is starting to loose its teeth after only four months. When I have tried to use the dryer without any attachments, it overheats, but this is easily resolved by simply keeping one of the combs on at all times. I love my new soft and sleek look and feel that my hair is healthier than ever before.

Buyers BEWARE! This blow dryer exploded when I used it! I have had it about 6 months and when I used it today it exploded! It started making a funny noise so I tried to cut it off but when when switched to the off button it was still running then it popped and exploded and started smoking! I would not purchase if I were you!

I just recently bought this hair dryer. The first time I used it, it worked fine. The second time I used it, it stopped working after 8 minutes. My hair is long and thick and slightly wavy. It isn't crazy curly, but it isn't pin straight. It doesn't take me more than 10 minutes to blow-dry my hair. I was blow-drying it straight, and after 8 minutes it just stopped working. It's not worth the money at all! Also, it does make a horrible noise and it does smell like burnt hair. I thought that all those things wouldn't bother me if it did the job--but then it just stopped working!

I read the reviews and decided I needed a second dryer just in case my other one pooped out when dashing out of the shower for work, so I bought this one. It was a good choice. Fine hair will dry rapidly but this dryer gives the hair more body and shine.
The only thing which wasn't a plus for me was the loudness of the motor when it's on medium, and high is much too shrill near your ears as you dry your hair.
It is worth the price and Amazon is a good place to make a purchase.

I bought this product based on all the reviews it got, which was a waste of time and money.

Honestly, this hair dryer is NOT worth the price. First of all, if you have sensitive ears this thing will probably make you go deaf! The way it is deigned is completely horrible. If you've noticed from the picture, the motor is on the right side of the dryer. Meaning, every time you need to use the blow dryer on that side of your head, it will be blasting loudly into your ear. My ear is still ringing after using it a day ago. I may need to get my ear checked out. Seriously. IT'S REALLY LOUD! Not even my cheap & old Conair dryer was this loud.

The other most annoying thing about this hair dryer is that you need to hold down the cool button continuously when you attempt to dry your hair. This became especially tiresome for me because I have really long and thick hair. The level of adjustments for the cool setting is the same setting as the heat. The odd shape also makes it even more difficult and longer to get a lot of hair coverage dry. The attachments are also flimsy and can break easily if you have thick hair. Do yourself a favor and look into other hair dryers. This one is NOT worth it.
