It's been 6 years since The Dayton Family made a group album. Steve Pitts did all the production excpept one song. Surprisingly Ghetto E makes only one appearence on the album and Jake The Flake isn't seen nowhere on the album. The orignal title for the album was "Bring It Back To Murder" but they changed it for reasons unkown.
Intro- Just a beat. The beat aint all that great, kinda sounds like a theme for a super hero. If they wanted a intro with just a dope beat, they could have done better. It would be tight if it was a dj mix of all the old Dayton classics like Oxydol, Playa Hater, Newspaper, Flint Town, Gee etc., like K-Rocks intro to Rock The world.
2. Big Mac 11- The beat is nice. Bootleg came real hard as usual and shoestring had a nice verse. I love the chorus too "Big Mac 11 ..."
3. Do You Remember- The beat has a nice piano to it. Shoestring has a tight verse. Bootleg goes off on the second verse tung flip'n faster than I ever heard him. One of the best songs of the album.
4. Welcome To Flint- Has a nice bouncy beat to it. Nice anthem for Flint. The chorus samples the chorus to "Flint Town".
5. Feds- The original title for this song was "F*ck The FBI." The beat is smooth. The song is aight.
6. Gangstarism (featuring Goldfish)- The beat is tight. Shoestring spits a real tight verse and so does Bootleg. Goldfish is giving the song a reggae flavor. Straigbht Bump.
7. Young Thugs (feat. Ghetto E & Lori)- The beat is real smooth. Shoestring spits his same verse as the first on "Dead Or Alive" from his solo "Cross Addicted." But he does it much faster. All members of TDF are tung flip'n in this song. Ghetto E goes faster than the rest surprisingly. Lori Coleman sings the chorus.
8. Drugstore- Very up tempo beat.

Almost 6 years since their last group album, Bootleg & Shoestring return with their 3rd group album. This is the 4th album of their I have and my least favorite, although it's still a good 4 star album, I'd give 2 of their albums 4.5 stars and 2 get 4(this being one of the 4 star albums). As always, the lyrics are straight street and too the point, what they do good, if it ain't broke don't fix it. With 16 songs, you get 7 are ok and 9 are good (a few being real good). Guests are minimal, rapping on 2 songs and doing the hook on 2 others. Production is nice, like on all their albums, Steve Pitts does all the songs except on 1 which Gee Pierce does. A nice album to have for fans of real street rap, from a very underrated group.

#2 - 8.5 (good beat)
#3 - 9(about their days coming up -- nice beat)
#4 - 7.5
#5 - 8
#6 - 7.5 (f/ Goldfish who provides an annoying hook)
#7 - 6.5 (f/ Ghetto E & Lorie Coleman)
#8 - 6.5
#9 - 7.5 (f/ Free)
#10 - 7
#11 - 8
#12 - 9 (f/ Kalonda)
#13 - 8.5
#14 - 9(tight beat)
#15 - 7.5
#16 - 8
#17 - 8

Its a tight cd. Just like their other ones. It was about time they came out with a cd together instead of their solo albums which were good but not as good as when they are together. You won't be dissapointed in buying this album.

I have never heard of this group b4, until some introduce me to this CD. My first listen, i stopped on the 3rd song because the production is great but the lyrics and the subject of their lyric is HORRIBLE. However, I gave it a second chance and listen to it again. Throughout the CD, the production is very SOLID, but the lyric did not sound any better, but however their lyric blend with the production after a couple listen. You will get use to that but it takes time. I never heard any of their old songs, but this CD here, I am already tired of what they are talkin bout, if you want to listen to something like that get TI, he has much more energy. But the production brings it up so this CD is okay.

i was so glad to here my boys are back with that dopehouse muzik.i love hip hop (rap) but sometimes it tends 2 look over a lot of the players in the game. the dayton family are by far no lyrical gods, but the gz tell that street s**t like scarface and spice 1. if u are familiar with dem i highly recommand this, but if not at first listen it may not grab you but give it a chance. the production is tight and they blend so well 2gether. so if u like groups like the geto boys, ugk, spice 1, and ghetto mafia you'll love this!!! open your mind...peace!

At first I didn't really like this album but after acouple more listen it has grown to be one of my favorites. Although is fails to beat "Whats on my Mind?" & "F.B.I." its still a very strong album. Only things I dont like is Shoestings verse on Young Thugs is already used on his solo album ona song called Dead Or Alive another thing I don't like is Bootleg talking about coke all the time and calling him self Bootzilla all the time. Great album pick it up if your into the last true gangsta rap left on the planet.
