Not at all what I expected. Music is mostly blues from the 60s, 70s, etc. (although there are a few newer recorded tunes tossed in), BUT, the music recording quality is horrible, it seems as though the tunes were not remastered at all, and the original scratchy, noisy tapes that were used way back then were used to just transferr the tunes to CDs. I could be wrong here, the recording may just be really bad.

I tried to give all the CDs included a good listen, I really wanted to enjoy this collection, but the quality of the recording prevented any enjoyment. If you are going to listen to this collection on an ordinary big-box store purchased stereo system with inexpensive equipment and speakers, you might not hear the bad quality recordings, and hopefully can enjoy what you hear. But if you listen on a quality system, you definitely will hear what you do not want to hear -- noise. Sadly, this collection went way back on the shelf and will never be played again. I may be able to donate it to the used CD store. Thankfully, it did not cost too much, because the money was certainly wasted here. Anybody who wants this collection, holler, I would be happy to give it to you, no charge.

Great collection of tracks. Could have be remastered a bit, they sound like you pulled out a pile of old vinyl and spun random tunes. Great listen with a wide variety of tracks. Can't be beat for the price!
