I thought this was a new HP cartridge, but it is not. The product description, however does state that the cartridge is re-manufactured. I guess that means that an old cartridge was re-filled with new toner. The cartridge does work in my HP 4650 printer and the quality is excellent. The price is about $100.00 less than a "new" cartridge. I'm satisfied with this purchase and will consider purchasing "re-manufactured" cartridges in the future.

This worked great for me. It worked better than the original HP Toner and was much less expensive. I used this as a replacement cartridge for an HP Color LaserJet 4600hdn.
The toner didn't leak at all like the original HP brand toner did frequently. Fast shipping and quality product.

OEM is always best even though I was once an early one to try refills. Why hp feels they need to charge so much for these is beyond me after years of making them and getting thousands upon thousands sent back to them to recycle old parts into the new cartridges. Double dipping on the consumers it seems to me. And the price seems to be edging up, not down. Also, why do they seem to always leak all over the transport mechanism before they are actually ready to be replaced?

I have been buying this product from IT supply for years but decided to try Amazon for the price and the easy order functions of their site.
This is a standard item but evidently may suffer from lack of movement of product should you purchase it from some of the smaller companies that list.
That being said I would/will be sticking to the larger companies for this purchase in the future. This particular order came in a product box that was quite beat up and I am not sure what that says about the item that is in this box? These toner cartridges are pretty much self contained but can suffer if they are subject to extreme heat or cold temperatures. I know that I have had to return one that was purchased from another company due to the toner not taking up on the film?
So... that being said. It is probably wisest to purchase from the big boys that list on Amazon. You will still get a good price but will not be so likely to have a defective product due to it having been sitting on the shelf for three years.

1-advertised as a HP C9720A cartridge. 2-Described in ad as an HP original cartridge. 3-Was SHIPPED a premium compatible cartridge. 4-Dealing with them now to replace it with what was advertized...
Only use HP brand in my HP machines and they just keep on working. No drainage like the other knock off brands.
Tried them and never again (knock off brands have leaked all over my machine in the past)

Color LaserJet tone cartridge manufacture date was September 2013, 2 and a half years ago. It's true that HP does not provide an expiration data for toner cartridges, but fine rubber components in the cartridge decay after extended time periods, generally 3 to 5 years.

I buy these cartridges for the office every few months or so and learned my lesson by buying refurbished cartridges from Ebay/online resellers. Always buy new, you know exactly what to expect, and they last MUCH longer. This is way cheaper than when bought from in stores, includes fast shipping, and arrives in perfect condition. I'll be buying again soon!

right out of the box after about 10 prints the toner is already running all over the page, leaving streaks and spilling in the printer. ALl the pages have a magenta nightmare all over them.
