This CD is great! I can't stop listening to it...it's very addicting!
The greatest thing about this CD is the variety it offers. Instead of a bunch of songs that sound the same, this CD has many different styles of music from hawaii. My favorite songs from this CD are "Live a Little", "Pineapple Princess", and "I'll Remember You".
I would not think twice about buying this CD. It's definently a must-have.

I really wanted old-time Hawaiian music. This album delivers some, but too many
other songs are not particularly Hawaiian. Oh, they may say Waikiki or Hawaii once
in a while in the lyrics, but... And, really, violins and pianos? So NOT Hawaiian. I
did like the version of Pearly Shells and He'ela very much.

This CD is darling. Anytime I am stressed or melancholy, this music makes me feel bathed in sunshine and soothing breezes. I even listen to it in the dentist's chair in order to relax. The variety of songs will introduce you to artists that you may enjoy. The Brothers Cazimero's "Waikiki" is a little cheezy sounding, but that is part of its charm. There are only two or three losers in the mix (I could do without Don Ho, sorry). AND I challenge anyone to listen to HAPA's "Lei Pikake" without melting like a snowball in a warm ocean!

I recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys world music, anyone looking to try something new, anyone needing to RELAX, and anyone who misses Hawai'i.

This CD has some of the top Hawaiian groups and solo artists in Hawaii. Brother IZ (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole sings Kamalani and White Sandy Beach. Hapa, The Brothers Cazimero and even Don Ho.

The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that I think they could have put a couple of other Hawaiian artists on this CD (like Willie K., Makaha Sons of Ni'ihau, and Reichel Keali'i. And there are a number of Brother IZ's other songs that could have been included as well.

But over all this a great select for someone that loves the newer music of the Hawaiian Islands. This brings back a lot of memories of my 7 years of living in Hawaii.
