I bought this to use at work to use with a date stamp for sacramental form requests. The ink is dark and doesn't bleed through or smear (on paper). It would however smear on smooth surfaces, including skin, so keep that in mind. Generous sized pad that should last awhile if the lid is closed between uses.

This stamp pad is bigger than I expected, cheaper than comparable ones in stores, and the ink does not run or smear. I have used it on binder paper, regular printer paper, cardstock, recycled paper, envelopes, and thick heavy weight paper. It has held up well and usually the stamp comes out well. It has not bled through any paper I have tried. The only caveat so far is that the lid does not snap close (minus one star because it should close tightly on its own) so I keep a rubber band around it so that it does not dry out. Be sure to close it when not in use. I look forward to many more stampings with this inkpad.

Some pros and cons, overall I like it.
Pros:
The ink pad was the right size for me and distributes its ink evenly.
This felt ink pad looks like it can withstand some rough usage.
This pad came to me with black ink already on the pad.
Cons:
The folding cover does not snap closed so you might want to use a rubber band to keep it closed if you are transporting it.
The cover is not air tight, water based ink will dry out over time.

Great stamp pad. Very sturdy surface to get the ink. Not spongy like other ones I've purchased in the past. With this ink pad, there's no need to press down hard to get the ink onto my stamps, which means the stamps last longer, as they won't be worn down just getting ink to cover them! Exactly what I look for!!

I bought mine for a craft project. I actually wanted to make paw prints of my dog, and also leaf imprints. This is the wrong kind of ink for that. You need a heavy duty acrylic and a roller for that. But for a rubber stamper I suppose this would be fine.

This product lasts forever. I just finished using one I bought in 2001. Sure, it dried a bit over time, but since I only use it to endorse checks for my business on a daily basis, it doesn't matter as long as the stamp is legible. Did I mention that the old one lasted my 14 years?
