I had used these sorters forever when I was working and now needing one at home I assumed it would be an easy thing to go to an office supply store and buy one. This was not the case. Nobody had any idea what this thing was!!!! Thank you Amazon. This is the best and I always want one for personal use.

When you have a lot of papers or folders to be filed in a file drawer, the task is much quicker if you can pre-sort the stuff to be filed at the comfort of your desk or work table before you stand at the file cabinet. This simple tool does the trick, whether you are filing alphabetically, numerically, or by date. Since buying one of these for my assistant, the once-looming to-be-filed pile has disappeared, because this makes filing much easier. Unless you have a paperless office, this tool is a good investment.
