We need these now, so we are going to keep at least a few (I may return the others). But we are very disappointed. For the price, these should be excellent. First, there are scratches and odd finishes (where things weren't put on straight or are jagged) on several of the folders. Second, all but one has a sticker (bar code) that is on the front of the file (and a few other places). They aren't even put on straight! When you try to take the sticker off the folder, the top coating of the folder comes off. (Yes, I was careful - but the adhesive is tenacious) Sticker remover (goof off) probably wouldn't work because it would damage the folder. Finally, maybe it is just standard in my industry. In fact, I had never seen it any other way. That is before this folder. Specifically, I didn't even know that there were different "base" or "center" sizes. There is. So now I have to spent $13 to buy a pack of 50 new bases with 3-inch capacities. Only the new bases will have the standard 2.75 inch base/center so that I can use it with the two-hole punch on my desk. I don't know what size the base/center is on the one is that came with it, but it was definitely wider than the 2.75 inch ones that, apparently, is standard in my industry. I didn't give it a one star because it is of fairly good quality, although they look a bit warn from the scratches, odd finishes, and the now removed stickers.

I use these for my reports on tracts of land. They are great as they hold large amounts of legal sized paper. You can fairly easily take off the top and take out one sheet to copy if necessary. Be sure to buy the heavy duty two hole punch that you
will need to make the paper fit on the two prongs.
