Either if you are an old pacman fan (remember Atari 2600? [yes, the console]) or you are just intrigued on how this game got its own arcade game, you may be looking at the right xbox title. This is a SINGLE player game [for all the 3D games, but i'll explain this later on], and it's basically a crusade to find the stolen golden fruits from PacMan's village. There are way more enemies other than the old 'Spooky' and friends and many levels.
pros:
+ immediate hands on experience
+ 2 gaming modes: normal and vs. time
+ as you advance in the game, you get to unlock all the original games of: PacMan, Ms. PacMan, PacMania and PacAttack, which are 1 or 2 players!
+ beautiful graphics and great sound effects
+ suitable for all ages
cons:
+ single player
+ camera angles are a little hard to control at some times
It would have been fantastic to have a pacman title with cooperative mode, but until this happens, this title will keep you in front of your tv for many, many hours of true fun.

My kids ages 5 (boy) and 8 (girl) love this game! They are obsessed... It is the one that has been able to keep their attention more than any other so far.

Finally an XBOX game I can play when my mother comes to visit!!! This game is a breath of fresh air. The 3D action is a neat twist to the 2D graffics of the older versions. As you advance levels you un-lock the older games and can play them!!! The only down side is the fact that it is only a single player game. But hey, who cares it is a lot of fun!!!

I tried to read some reviews on this but couldn't find anything useful.
This is nothing like the original Pac-Man. It's really difficult to control the action, and after 20 minutes I was sick to my stomach. The kids seem to like it, though. The first time was the last time for me.

I really loved this game when I was younger and decided to buy it for myself to have fun with in my spare time... My partner loves videogames and I want to know more and play some and things, but I don't dig violence, so I thought this could be a nice way to get myself acclimated and learn xbox controllers (wayback when I used a PlayStation2) and whatnot.
Problem is... my partner's machine is an xbox360. A friend assured us the game would work, but I didn't look it up to doublecheck and this game is, in fact, one of the few that isn't supported. SO, I couldn't play it at all. I ended up ordering PacMan World 3, which IS supported, and giving this game to a kid I know who has a regular old Xbox.
3 stars because the game itself is a ton of fun... from what I remember anyways.

It didn't work. I was excited that it came in fast. but the game does not work. it made my kids sad. Waste of money. I do not recommend buying this game. First time it happened to me. Good luck if you decide to buy it.

Pac-Man World showed that while people are now looking out for games with guns, explosions, and those other kind of things, there can still be a good game that doesn't need any of that. The sequel has shown the same thing.

PMW2 plays a bit like the first game, but with several improvements. For instance, there's a fair difficulty now, and the camera angles are like how it usually would be in an average 3D game.

The gameplay is really fun. You have what you had in the first PMW: Rev Roll in a Sonic-like way, Butt Bouncing, and hey, look! Now there's a mid-air flip kick! Pretty useful at times. Like the first game, the gameplay is about eating fruits, dots, and unlocking special mazes. Sometimes, the gameplay can vary when it comes to a certain level where it has to. Like in Blade Mountain, you have to skate through caves and jump up ramps (Like how it's shown on the boxart). In the water levels (except one), it's an on-rails shooter in which you shoot the enemies trying to attack.

The mazes hidden in the game are as fun as the original Pac-Man arcade games. Although some are slight redesigns of old Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man mazes, new ones are also in the mix. You can also collect Namco tokens (which are also hidden) to be able to unlock the actual arcade games. If you go to Sue's Arcade in the Pac-Village, you can play the arcade games anytime you want after unlocking them. The games are: Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Pac-Mania, and Pac-Attack (The only console re-release not counting Virtual Console). You can also play the unlocked mazes there, too.

The sound effects are just classic and action-y. The music is also really cool to listen to. B-Doing Woods has a really lively tune to it, and the water stages have a pretty dramatic theme in each.

I absolutely love this game and I would recommend it to all ages. It's the original Pac Man with a twist and so is a great game for kids. On the other hand, it's an extremely challenging game in certain levels and can manage to frustrate even the most veteran of gamers. Nonetheless, with persistance you can make it through and it keeps the game from getting too easy. Finally, there's the fact that you can unlock some of the older Pac Man games that have always had Pac Man fanatics begging for more.
