Though I have not purchased this pen through Amazon yet, the pen itself is as advertised. Due to my writing style, the finer line I can get the easier it is for me to read and take notes. This is my favorite pen by far. I have gone so far as to buy them myself for work, just because saving the few dollars and using the pens in the office is not worth the hassle!

The red and blue pens are always extremely useful for underlining passages of articles and making notes. The small pen tip allows for even tiny, margin writing to be legible!

As the previous person noted, these pens can be difficult to find offline, but the dedicated Office Supply Stores often have them.

I have the worst handwriting (thank goodness I know how to type) but I am extremely picky about my pens. Although my handwriting is illegible at any fine point, I find these 0.38mm points to be the best combination of readability and writability.

There are generally 3 levels of fine point pens (0.7mm, 0.5mm, 0.3mm). The 0.7mm is the thickest and is the most visible. But it isn't good for fine writing especially if one wants to condense lot of information into small spaces. The 0.5mm is a happy medium between 0.7 and 0.3 and isn't as thick or visible as 0.7mm but one can write in tight spaces far better. The 0.3mm is truly the crafter's pen. The 0.3mm is so sharp you can use it as a weapon (perhaps the reason they are not sold much in the US) and has very little resistence on paper and allows one to write very precisely and quickly. But the downfall of the 0.3mm is the inkmarks tends to be very thin.

The 0.38mm was made to correct the main flaw of 0.3mm without adding too much resistence to the movement of the pen. The inkmarks may still come out too thin for some, but they will certainly come out more readable than the 0.3mm.

If you want a pen that allows you to write precisely and quickly with noticeably little lag on paper or you have a need to write a lot of information into small spaces, then I highly recommend the 0.38mm pen such as this one.

I am on a constant hunt for the perfect pen featuring style, extra-fine reliable lines, and the ability to write on all types of paper. i've spent up to $40 on single pens in the past.

this pen is the closest i've come yet.

0.38mm tip as advertised, other pens claim small lines but do not actually deliver. one caveat, fine point means you heavy handed folk won't enjoy this much, but you probably already know that.

gel ink: acid free, dries relatively quickly. one downside: doesn't work so well on glossy paper.

this pen is cheap, and refills are also available if you wish to go that route.

i fly airplanes, and these pens are reserved for my logbook. Also, the pens have become extremely difficult to find offline, and i fear their eventual disapearance.

I've been ordering the Uniball Signo RT (0.38 mm) pens as a 12 pack through Amazon for 2 years now. Before these pens, I was all about the G2 0.5 mm. I really enjoyed the G2 0.5mm, but at some point, I started wanting an even finer point. So I did what anyone would do- I went with the same company that produced the pens I had currently loved. The G2 0.38 mm was an unfortunate disappointment. It's due to the viscosity of the ink they use- it's too thick to come out of the 0.38 mm tip without producing blotchy ink marks all over. A new model had to be found.

I searched around, and the Uniball Signo RT had good reviews, so I tried it out. These pens are *exactly* what I wanted. The ink is fluid enough that it leaves no ink bubbles while writing, and the micro point feels like you're writing with a fine point mechanical pencil. When writing, it has a slight scratchy feel when writing on paper, which I love. Seriously, these are the best pens ever. I don't think I will ever switch to another pen.

The only downside is that when I let someone use my pen to jot a note or whatever, 80% of the time, I have to donate it to them because they love it so much. I say 80%, because some people just don't like such a fine point. Anyone who likes a fine point though has envied these pens. I save them the trouble of having to steal it from me, and just give it to them- that's why I have to buy them 12 at a time ;) - and the ink tends to run out slightly faster than a G2 0.5 mm would, but it in no way is that a problem to me. I mean geese, I had to give away two of them last week alone! lol

Buy these pens if you enjoy a fine point write. You won't regret it.

This WAS my favorite pen. I have ordered them many times. Typically each box had one pen that was a dud. While a dud is not ideal, I was willing to live with a dud here and there because I loved this pen's comfortable hold and the smooth fine lines it produced. The last box had one or two good ones and the rest were duds. By dud I mean the ink does not flow smoothly so I have to go back and retrace my last four or five letters. This slows down my work and interrupts my stream of thought. The corrected work looks messy. I am sad to give up my Uni-ball fine points but I am officially done and am looking for a new favorite pen. Two stars because when the pen works well it is worthy of five stars, but this pen's recent unreliable performance is a one star.
