I have 4 children ages 11 and under and this is GREAT for young children! The music is played in a familiar format and easy for kids to sing along with---even adults can have fun with it! I highly recommend this for families with young kids. The melody is very present for kids to hear it and the songs are very common ones. A GREAT PURCHASE FOR OUR FAMILY!!

This is a great CD for kids to sing along, as long as they know pretty well what the tune is. My kids are very young and will learn quickly, but I purchased this cd because a previous review said their were no instrumental versions, which is the opposite. All of the songs on this cd are instrumental; there are no lyrics with the songs. But this is a great collection of kids songs on a well produced karaoke cd with easy to follow lyrics on the screen. Don't hesitate and have fun with your kids!!

although i am 16 i am still obsessed with kids song and i know i may be crazy but i am and this album is great because it has all the basic kids song on it and it is great for a feel good album so im recomending it to all those people who like kids songs or all those people who have kids and are aranging a party. A birthday party maybe? all i can say is its great!!!

This review is for BOTH the Party Time Karaoke Kids Songs -- Disc 1 and Disc 2:

The disc is in CD-G format which means that in addition to playing music, it also gives you the graphics on a screen -- providing you have your karaoke machine hooked up to a TV or monitor of some sort.

The songs are pretty good and are lively and energetic. They even tell you what musical key each song is in should you want to play along with it. This disc only has instrumental tacks, though -- NO vocals at all. Some other discs out there will provide you with two versions of every song. This disc does not do that. If you are unfamiliar with a song, you may have difficulty trying to sing along. The benefit of having both the vocal and instrumental tracks is that you can sing along with the vocals, get comfortable with the song, and then try your hand at it without the vocal support.

The graphics for this disc are merely the words. There are no additional fun images to go along with the songs as some discs have. (i.e., some Disney Karaoke discs)

So far, the only complaint I have is that some of the songs have a pretty fast tempo to them. Some may find this good, others, like me, think it makes it difficult for younger kids to sing along with and keep up. Even the "Alphabet Song" (on disc 1 only) clips along too quickly for our younger son to keep up. Some songs have had the words changed slightly from the traditional lyrics that we all grew up with. Again, the "Alphabet Song" is an example of this. Instead of the normal lyrics, "...now I know my A B C's, next time won't you sing with me?" They've been changed. This may throw kids off when they read different lyrics than what they're used to singing.

Because of the fast tempo of the songs and the changing of standard lyrics, I gave this disc four stars.

So I just bought this music to accompany my toddlers new karaoke system and while there are no instrumental versions of the songs, my kids do quite enjoy singing along with music CD. It has all your basic toddler tunes and songs kids know and love to sing. I'd definitely reccommend this CD for kids starting out with karaoke singing!

It's cute, with classic kids songs, but I think I like the karaoke c.d.s. that have the option of you singing while the recording songs the words too. I think it helps my daughter learn the words if she doesn't know them.

we LOVE this. we don't even use it as karaoke. we play it and our grand daughter loves just singing along to herself while dancing to this. we've played it so many times we have it memorized. this is terrific background music for the kids while playing.

Bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter and she loved it. Even her twin brother and sister (2 yrs old)knew the songs and got into the fun. It was age appropriate and a great way to give confidence to shy children.
