Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Beyblade is the extreme sports experience where every fan can become an active competitor using strategy to build and customize their battle equipment in pursuit of becoming the World Beyblade Champion. To hardcore Beybladers, their world revolves around Beystadium where the battle for supremacy is played out. Each Beyblade is as unique as its owner, involving the custom assembly of five key parts--The Bit Chip, Attack Ring, Weight Disk, Spin Gear and Blade Base. The only way to see whose "Beyblade" has the ultimate power is to match them up for a battle!

GAME FEATURES:

  • Cool Character designs based on anime style on the television show
  • A very intuitive control scheme that allows users to quickly master the combat system
  • A fun tournament mode that quickly builds atmosphere and interest level and makes you feel satisfied with the outcome
  • The ability to battle a wide variety of AI controlled opponents as you progress through the game
  • Cool animated opening movie
  • Cool sound effects, which are reminiscent of the Beyblade TV show
  • Versus mode that allow you to play with a friend
  • Ten different summoning skills to be mastered
  • Over ten different characters to choose from
  • Fully customizable blades, where the player has the ability to affect each of the six components that make up the blade
  • All of the action that takes place inside the stadium is provided with commentary
  • Three different ways to defeat an opponent: knocking them out of the stadium, beating them into submission to where they are no longer able to continue, or playing a nice game of cat and mouse with them until they can no longer spin thus ending the match

Product Description

Feel the excitement of the battle. Invoke a special attack with legendary power. Playstation One.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Beyblading Game to be born, December 24, 2002
A Kid's Review
This game is {great}. It has all of your favorite characters like Tyson,Kenny,Max,Kai,Ray and everybody else. To win you have to earn power points then hit your opponent out of the stadium. To earn a bit beast you have to get a certain # of wins like you need 15 wins to get the bit beast Galman used by Lee from the White Tigers. Some bit-beasts have special moves like Dragoon has a hurricane attack as a default move but you can unlock its special move the phantom hurricane. To unlock the phantom dragoon you have to be in the story mode and you have to lose some where in the American tournament and Kenny will ask you if you want help fixing your blade. The other members of the blade beakers will disagree but Kenny helps you anyway. You might be thinking why will they disagree if you are on their team. Guess what you are not on their team but you can still have their bey blades and their bitbeasts. The other part is that if you lose you will have to start will a new bey blade. Plus, to help you because you will need it because you will lose automatically to Robert of the European team. You might also have trouble againest Enrique,Oliver and of course Kai. Later on, Kai will betray the Blade breakers and they will ask you to be his replacement. You will have to face him in the world tournament with his most strongest bitbeast in the world. It is called the Black Dranzer and it can steal the power of your bit beasts. You better watch out for this game because i have checked all the stores i know and they don't have it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Let it Rip!!!, February 14, 2003
Ok, first off for all you annoying ranters who have nothing better to do but bust on games...GET A LIFE!!! This is a game about battlin' spinnin' tops not some lame Final Fantasy spectacular. This game is pretty decent you can choose a male or female character, name 'em then choose between the beyblades Dragoon S and Dranzer S. (I chose Dragoon S and renamed it Tempest) Now Kenny (aka the Chief) helps you out with the custimation of your blade while Max's dad owns a shop for you to buy Bey parts (i.e. Bit beasts, Attack rings etc)Basically from what I see so far all you can do is compete in tourney mode (you fight 3 regular bladers always then one of the random 8 characters from the show) You win credits role you get a free bey part you lose...
Personally I like Free battle mode the best because well it's fun and the best way to ease into the controls of your blade (Tournament mode gets very intense and frustrating if your losing) You also get to fight it out with Tyson and the other Tv show charcters and get free EXP for you player and bit beast, but be warned if you try to fight Max, Kai, Tala, when you just start the game I GUARUNTEE YOU'LL LOSE!!! Robert is tough too but I use him to help level up my bit beast Kid Dragoon. I'm not too sure if anything else is unlockable but I don't really care all I wanna do is max out my stuff so I can beat tourney mode and that blasted Kala easier.
Cons
-They don't use the song from the show during battle

-I'm not to sure there's really a storyline but...

Pros
-...It's so darn addicting and fun I don't really care
-Very decent game despite the PS1s is near it's dying stages and game for it have gotten from stupid to pathetic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beyblader, March 9, 2003
A Kid's Review
This game is the coolest game I have ever played. You can choose from either Dragoon S or Dranzer S. You can control your blade and use it's bit power. There are characters from the show, also. In this game you can be a boy or a girl. A bad thing is, when you lose you lose Beyblade and have to start training over (Basicly, I loved it)!!
