These were exactly what I was looking for! I am a classroom teacher, and each semester I create half-size index card booklets for my students to keep track of important concepts, which they can then use on the final exam. Given that I have about 120 students each semester, purchasing these in smaller amounts from Staples would have been prohibitively expensive. This price was excellent! The rings clasp very tightly, making it difficult for a junior high kid to claim that they "just fell apart." Out of two boxes, only about four rings were loose. For this price, I'll take 98%! For photos of the rings with the concept cards, check out the "customer images" for this product. Highly, highly recommended!

I love Acco Metal Book Rings! This is probably a weird statement to make, but when you think outside of the box, they have many different uses:
- Curtain rod hangers
(recently tried this in a nursery and it adds a very modern touch to hanging curtains, plus they glide perfectly on the rod)

- Study card holder
(hole-punched the corner of index cards and had handy flashcards in minutes)

- Picture holder
(used this concept on a film set and had location shots, favorite camera angles, and crew contact information all together on one ring)

- Book Rings
(why not state the obvious, right?)

Unlike binders, these rings do not tend to lose their ability to snap together. In other words, they don't bend out of shape easily.

50 may seem like a lot, but you'll find uses for them eventually.

I make a lot of mini scrapbooks and although I have a Bind-It-All, for the fatter (well-embellished) books I need something bigger that won't bend under the pressure of many heavy pages. I was accustomed to buying book rings at scrapbook stores that have brushed copper or other finishes (such as the 7 gypsies rings), but I was paying the same price for four rings that I did for this entire box. When I found this on Amazon, I felt like I'd hit pay dirt!

The cost of just one scrapbook can range from $20 to $75 depending on the materials you use, so I try to cut corners without cutting quality as much as I can. In this case, I'm saving a lot and still getting great quality binder rings (although when I do a vintage mini book, I really load up the ribbons to tone down the shiny nickel finish).

This box arrived in perfect condition, unlike the box of 3" rings I purchased. They had been shipped in a padded envelope and the box was crushed flat. Very happy to find this economical option.

The size and quality of the rings were worth the $9.00, and I get free two day shipping. I use this rings to hang up various signs at the animal shelter anywhere from animal health status to animal information. The rings are very durable and can withstand damage and open up easy - but not easy enough that you it would break loose or become undone should it be tugged.

I bought these to hold flash cards together for studying. They're exactly what they're supposed to be, great price and slightly better made than some I've seen. These are the larger ones, so I intend to buy the smaller size as well. I think these'll hold over 100 cards each. I'm not sure what this product would need to be to earn 5 stars, so don't think the 4 stars means I'm disatisfied :)

I used these to hang shower curtains through out my house in place of the traditional and costly window treatments. One box at under $10 to cloth all 7 windows with rings to spare made this an excellent value. I had to deduct a star because there were a handful of rings that didn't shut securely which is their intended use obviously, but for my project it was really a non issue since I still have so many extra.
