I use this paper in my business for monthly statements that we send out to patients. My business machines have no problem managing it, in fact it seems to run through my printer/copier more easily than standard office paper. My patients seem to like the professional quality. I actually think that we receive fewer questions on bills since the high quality paper prompts us to be perceived as "More Professional" overall. I would highly recommend this paper in spite of the fact that it costs more per page.

Yes, it is just paper, and I don't know why anyone would write a review for paper. BUT, I am impressed by the sturdy lift-off-lid box. All of my other paper is in plastic shrink wrap, paper wrapped reams, or otherwise packaged in a way that doesn't really protect the edges of the paper. Once the edges are dinged up, paper tends to jam in my printers.

This paper produces clean crisp results in my LaserJet and InkJet printers. Being copper colored, the documents can be quite attractive when printed in the color LaserJet.

One last word about the box. This is "special occasion" paper for me, so being able to store it in a stack of other books & junk without damage is important to me.

this is the Best parchment paper out there. I have been buying Southworth Gold Parchment paper since 2006 age 16 and I am now 23 years old. I have been using it for writing letters for that long. I believe in using the postal service for as long as we have it. I think that the art of writing should be used. I would recommend this parchment out there for others. It is by far the best. I prefer the gold but they have other colors like Ivory. It can also be used for awards etc.

I purchased this for a genealogy project I was working on. I printed w/ an epson artisan 720 and was able to use the auto-duplex printing feature with no problem even though this is pretty heavy paper.

Sigh. I would like this for my letter writing. But I am so silly that the paper is too hard for my Lamy Al-star EF nib to write on. I think it is my fault that I did not realize that this paper could be only used for printer. SO SAD that I have bought the 500 sheets pack and now they are in no use at all. If you have some suggestions about what to do with them, I would like to appreciate it.

I have an ongoing (weekly) need to produce a small number of one page duplexed documents. Because of the cost of ink jet cartiridges, I long ago invested in a laser printer to do this job (helps on other jobs as well, of course).

Because of my audience, I want my document to look good and have a nice feel to it. The Southworth 984C paper does that job and not too expensively (my document is ultimately a throw-away). I like the paper feel and quality aspects.

However, at least on my laser printer(s) (I've tried a couple), you cannot just let the printer automatically print in duplex for you (where the printer prints one side then recaptures the paper to print the other side). For some reason, the ink smears and/or doesn't adhere when I print auto-duplex. I'm guessing this is related to how hot the paper is when it is instantly re-subjected to the same level of heat for the second pass.

For me, since my print run is small, I simply print one side, let the paper cool a bit, then print the other side. However, if this was a multi-page document or if you had high print runs, this would be unacceptable. Just a heads-up for anyone who might need to use this parchment paper in duplex mode.

I used this paper for all important documents. It is very attractive, takes print well (with printer set to "rough paper" setting), and has a nice, heavy feel to it. The paper itself, after being printed on, handles well and can be scanned and copied easily. Be advised that creasing of the paper will affect the print quality along the crease lines substantially more than for plain paper, so not necessarily recommend if your intended use involves repeated folding.
