The CDX-P1280 plays CD Audio, CD-R, and CD-RW discs, and has an 8x oversampling filter and a 1-bit D/A converter for clean, powerful music. Control it with any Pioneer ""IP-Bus"" headunit (look for the ""P"" in the model number) and the headunit's remote control. Its memory can store the names of up to 100 CDs, and it mounts in multiple angles (vertical, horizontal, etc.).

If you are already using a Pioneer head unit, CDX-P1280 can complement your head unit with more capacity to play your favorite CDs without changing them frequently. I am using P1280 for four years now, earlier used it with Pioneer KEH P 7250 (Discontinued), and now with Pioneer P-80MP. This CD Changer unit is a fit it, forget it kind of unit. No repairs required, in fact never cleaned the lens unit in four years. It can mounted vertically and horizontally. It also has a 100 Discs memory, so if you are like me who feeds the title of the disk, it will make your life simpler. If you are looking for a perfect CD changer, this is the right thing to go for. Avoid using the FM modulated changers, as the quality is not even close to direct bus models.

I have always used pioneer changers since 2004. I had a 6cd equipment and now decided to give myself a longer range with a 12cd piece. It works absolutely fine and indeed gives beyond the money you pay for in terms of durability and specs. Get one and you will realize what I am talking about.

I love my Sony CD Changer....I have had one in the past and I couldn't wait to get another one when it wore out....Amazon.com is the only place to shop...their prices are great, their staff is extremely helpful and easy to talk to. I highly recommend this cd changer and Amazon.com
