From the Back Cover

Someone is stalking teenagers in this picturesque New England town. A high school senior is mysteriously murdered and more teens fall victim to grisly accidents. Classmates blame Sarah (Sarah Chalke), the new girl who recently moved with her mother, Rosemary (Markie Post), into an old house believed to be haunted. The legend is that 300 years ago another girl named Sarah had lived in that same house and was burned at the stake for suspected witchcraft. With her dying words, she cast a curse on the town and vowed to come back to destroy the descendents of her killers. Now, the town's teens believe the new Sarah is the evil reincarnation of that witch. As the body count rises, Sarah must fight for her life and discover who the real killer is. From the author of I Know What You Did Last Summer comes a modern-day thriller guaranteed to send chills down your spine.

2.0 out of 5 stars Better Than Normal T.V. Movie, January 11, 2002
As far as T.V. movies dealing with horror go, this one is better than most. It's based on the Lois Duncan book "Gallows Hill". A mom and daughter move to a quaint, small New England town and into a creepy old house. Not creepy!. It turns out this house was where a supposed witch lived hundreds of years before. She was captured and killed. All of a sudden, strange things begin to happen. I wasn't expecting that!. Okay, I'm done with the sarcasm. A mysterious figure with an old hag/witch face and steel claws in a robe begins stalking a batch of young teens. Many believe it's the ghost of this witch, who has come back to get the decendants of the people who killed her all those years ago. The witch character is pretty flimsy, but there are moments that are better than what you'd expect from a ... T.V. movie jumping on the horror bandwagon. There are a number of familiar faces in this movie. Sarah Chalke from "Roseanne" and "Scrubs", Markie Post from "Night Court", Soilei Moon Frye from "Punky Brewster" and "Sabrina", and Neve Campbell's look a like brother Christian Campbell. The film was competently made, but just a tad bit boring. Not a lot happens. Being a T.V. movie, there isn't much blood or violence. The stuff that is there is pretty tame. The story is all right, but it's not Shakespeare. All in all, it's typical fare, but above most horror T.V. movies. I'm sure not everybody has been waiting for this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars More Thrills and Chills Than "Scream" 1 + 2 Put Together, June 18, 1999
By A Customer
"I've Been Waiting for You" is one of the best movies of this year. At first I thought it would be just another "Scream" rip off that wouldn't be able to stand next to "Scream" on the video rack. But to my suprise it should be the other way around. Like "Scream", you will never be able to guess who the killer is until he's right behind you, breathing down your neck. Also, I found that the storyline behind the film was very well written with one of the best plots since "Urban Legends". And by the way if you watch this directly before you go to sleep, lets just say you wont be getting any.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Television Movie!, May 7, 2000
By Humdip Singh (Toronto, Ontario) - See all my reviews
I think over all this movie was not that bad. It was more or less alot like the novel written by Lois Duncan "Gallows Hill" I really enjoyed watching this movie on T.V and I like it so much I bought it again on video. Watch for yourself and then decide if it is good or bad.
