Hidetaka Nishiyama, Frank Smith, James Yabi, James Fields and Ray Dalke need we say more.

Product Description

Featuring Master Instructor Ray Dalke. This is the second tape in the series devoted to Jiyu Kumite. Sensei Dalke had so much great information we decided that we just could not leave this information out.

After training with Master Hidetaka Nishiyama for over 40 years he has a world full of knowledge that only someone who has trained with a true master of the art could present.

Once you have seen this tape you will finally understand why this style of karate is the most practised in the world and has produced more world champions that any other style of karate.

APPROX 58 minutes Full Color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Credible. Practical. Effective, July 8, 2004
By Jeremy Zimmerman (Riverside, CA United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Shotokan Karate's Ray Dalke Kumite #2 - d (DVD)
I had the good fortune of training under Mr. Dalke while a student at UC Riverside in 1989-91. While dubious "grand masters" and "10th-degree black belts" abound, Mr. Dalke is the real thing. Not only is he distinguished worldwide as an authentic and excellent karate practitioner, Mr. Dalke is also an enthusiastic and eloquent instructor.

Both sparring videos (Kumite #1 and #2) effectively distill the essential principles that Mr. Dalke has taught for many decades. The concepts of attitude, timing, and distance he emphasizes form the basis for highly effective competitive and self-defense strategies.

If you don't get the opportunity to train with Ray Dalke personally, these videos are the next best thing.
