Unique - Looks just like a minature oriental rug!

I purchased this along with Kensington SmartBeads(TM) Wrist Rest in Blue (K62825US) that matched with this "rug" mouse pad perfectly. The Lextra® MouseRug® is made of thick, durable and even washable material. When you place your hand on the pad you can actually feel it spring back since it is so thick and soft. The fringed ends will not fray. The non-skid rubber backing makes the rug stay securely in place. Your mouse will smoothly glide over the surface - works great with my optical mouse. Make sure you check out all the different designs offered by Lextra, there are so many to pick from.

Great to give as a gift as well! Extremely unique, elegant and eye-catching.

Many uses beyond the MousePad

We have 2 of these Mouse Rugs and they are wonderful. Thick, easily washable (even when milk has been spilled on them), and undeniably beautiful. Even the fringe has stayed perfect, and we have had ours for over a year.

I must confess, however, that we don't use them as mouse pads. We use them as over-sized coasters, perfect for holding not only our teacup but the 3-6 cup teapot that we inevitably bring along with the cup.

Add a touch of elegance to your workspace

Mouse pads come and go but this one is going to stay put! I love it. Most mouse pads I see people use have some advertising on it- you know, the freebie kind. Amid the cubicle, clinical environment of a lot of offices, a Persian or Asian influenced desktop accessory shows your co-workers that ambiance means something and you have an appreciation for culture! It would be an appropriate office pollyanna or thank you gift for a co-worker! Possibly a pre-office romance gesture, (not that I am endorsing office romances mind you) but it is a good neutral first step and low cost way to tell someone you notice them, or their office space!

Tactically it is a good mousepad. I actually ordered two, one for my PC at work and one for my iMac. However, the new smart mac mouse didn't track well on it (I think the mac wireless mouse is designed NOT to use a mousepad at all) so I gave the second one to my co-worker who admired the blue design I use for my main computer.

This is a very nice gift for the techie you know and who is so hard to buy for. Most of the time these folks buy the latest and greatest as soon as it is released- but I have noticed they don't think much about their mouse pad. Think about it...you look at it every day, if you spend a lot of time on the computer, it's an expression of who you are. Nerds can be elegant!!!

I guess if a person's wireless mouse doesn't track well on it, it could be a lovely desktop coaster too. These mouse pads come in a variety of colors and designs from eastern to Native American. Go ahead, warm that office space up, build some atmosphere in your office space and start with an oft-overlooked feature - your mouse pad!
