I am quite familiar with this product as a nurse. Hospitals have used this product in one variation or another for years. Nurses wear them all the time for support while they are on their feet for hours at a time.
This gives excellent support to your feet, ankles, and your legs, without being too restrictive and hard to tolerate like some other Futuro stockings.The toe room is generous and does not compress at all. A winner of a product, especially at the lower Amazon price, compared to other sites.

After working on concrete for 25 years, my legs and feet HURT.

I then became disabled. My feet and legs still hurt. Now I had an additional problem. My lower legs swelled because I spent to much sedentary time. While seeing a doctor for another problem he remarked about my legs. He suggested that I find a drugstore that carried this product. They were a bit pricey, but I decided to try them.I purchased a single pair. I liked them. While wearing them I didn't even notice that I was wearing something different than my standard tube sock. My aching legs almost entirely disappeared. I searched online and found this product at a much better price through www.Amazon.com I purchased several pair and am happy with the product and Amazon.com.

I do a lot of long haul flights for my job (L.A. to London is one of the shortest), and after the first couple of trips, my feet would really swell. Once the swelling was there, it could take up to 24 hours to return to normal and meanwhile it was incredibly painful to walk! Over the years, I had heard of flight attendants wearing support hose to prevent swelling and pulmonary embolism (which can potentially be deadly), so I decided to purchase a pair.

I put the socks on an hour or two before my flight. They were a little bit of a struggle to get on, but once on, they felt pretty good. During the flight, I tried to remember to get up and walk around the plane several times, so as to keep the blood flowing. The socks still felt good, and actually helped keep my feet warm during the flight, as it's always so cold on planes! By the end of the flight, I noticed that very little swelling had occurred and that I had no trouble getting my shoes back on. Once I had arrived in the foreign city, I was able to sprint to baggage claim and get on my way without any pain.

Ever since my first flight with these socks, I have worn them for EVERY FLIGHT I TAKE. They work perfectly for me, and I have now insisted that when we travel as a couple, my husband wears them too. They make your travel experience more comfortable, and lower your risk of health problems. Makes it worth getting a couple pairs for both of us!

I developed a blood clot after a flight last month and have been on blood thinners. Walking was difficult and my feet were always swollen. Acting on my doctor's advice I purchased compression stockings made in Europe. But the stockings were waist high, thick and virtually impossible to get on. They were more like some Victorian contraption and quite expensive but were the only things available locally. Needless to say I wore them twice and just could not tolerate them afterward. Then I saw these Futura stockings on Amazon and with some hesitation ordered them out of desperation. To my surprise and joy they really work! They are very easy to slip on (it takes about 2 minutes) and even more comfortable to wear. My swelling has gone down at least 50% and I can walk without pain.

I wear 8.5/9 (US) shoes. I bought the medium regular stockings. The toe was a giant mass of flapping cloth. If I put the heel over my heel, I had floppy flippers at the toe (the tops did stop just short of my knee, though). If I put my toe in the toe pocket, the heel was up past my ankle, and the compression was not in the right place on my foot (the tops also went well above my knee).

If you have really looooong toes and/or feet, this may be perfect for you, but they didn't work for me.
